Hi.. i was thinking of asking those apprentices that has been thru this stage and has learn their skills to lvl 2 or 3 or even more..
Was just wondering what skills was worth learning it to lvl 2 and if possible how much difference in the mp cost and dmg/time..
Personally i dun feel like learning lvl 2 magic ice and was thinking of going for lvl 2 magic thunder.. but not sure if its worth it.. Hopefully more ppl can discuss about this issue so that more apprentices will know about the pros and cons.. including me =) Thanks..

to be honest, sooner or later you'll end up getting all the skills (and mastering them), so you don't need to worry about it too much. (This applies to all classes)

But is the MP worth it? i know everything is as simple as getting the book and learning it.. but if the mp is not worth the damage.. then will everyone still get it? Coz i really thinking whether i shld learn lvl 2 ice or not..
Anyone learnt it and able to comment on it?

you should learn all the upgrades to your skills...

level 2 ice is key, since if you only use level 1 ice, you will encounter monsters who will not be phased by it, and will just keep coming at you, madder than they were before... it will cost a few extra MP, but not by much... you will learn to manage your skills as you level, and learn how to manage the casting of your spells...

never turn down an upgrade...

I agree with Fireslinger, especially with the magic ice thing. Magic ice lvl 1 just isn't strong enough to slow down certain monsters, like those east of CV.

Also, when you upgrade, you can choose between the two. When you right-click the skill, at the bottom of the window that pops up above the "check" button, there's a way to tone down or tone up a skill. If you aren't happy with something and liked it better the old way, you can just use that to change it to skill lvl 1 you're using instead of 2.

Personally I don't think lvl 2 thunder is worth it. Magic ice lvl 2 is, though.

did You notice you can't say solstice, or alot of other words that are names of SoS items:P This is the most stupid part of the game. whenever I talk with someone about items i have to put . or _ in the middle of the word or else it will be threated as illegal -.-

From monster drops later in the game.(Think monsters of Luan Basin level and beyond) Or buy from someone.

Personally, all lvl 2 skills are worth it. Lvl 2 Magic Ice and Thunder only cost 4 mp more than there original and give you a decent upgrade to dmg. Though most use Fire over Thunder but just letting you know. ^^

Yeah, I think so too, except for lvl 2 thunder. For me it only did 20-40 damage more and considering (if you do the math) that 4 mp more is 1.5 lvl 1 thunder but only adds (assuming my case wasn't special) somewhere around 20% more damage (compare 1.5 to 1.2, and those percentage numbers are made up on the spot), I don't think lvl 2 thunder is worth it.
