...what you think.

maybe lowering the lvls for a class change?

this is not a suggestion, not yet at least, i want to see what you guys think, what may be good and bad about the idea.

ehhh, i guess im just trying to make up an idea for the game that we all can enjoy.

well tell me what you think...

I personally would like more of a challenge. So the harder the better.

no the lvls for the class change is fine where it is. All we need are new maps with better exp per kill or just stronger monsters. And who really wants a noob knight running around? if the lvls were lowered people will just get bored of the game quicker.

the game has been balanced to fit the current class changes, if it we're changed alot of things would probally need rebalancing

also wrong section XP

I'd like it if 2nd class change was at 55, 3rd at 80, 4th at 110.

not much of a difference but still helpful.

i decided i was being to harsh sometimes, though if somebody who's really asking for it pops up you may need to tie me to a pole XP

well looks like mostly every one thinks its balanced so, i got the information i wanted.

also, i wanna know why this is in the wrong section? i was asking a question not making a suggestion.

ChaosAD

Yeah asking a question is what General Discussion section is for. Rodaa probably just mis-understood you. I like the idea of class changes being slightly lower lvl. It's taking so much hard work for me to reach lvl 42, i don't feel anywhere near lvl 66....even lvl 60 would help....but oh well.

and i've heard it really slows gown in the 50s.
this would be a good game for someone unemployed, but with a busy life there is a limit in how many hours you can dedicate to a game. and lvl66 is a long way to go!

Black-Phoenix

yeah, i was thinking after my last post, maybe at lvl 45 class changes are ok, maybe 40 would also be nice, but maybe at least a 60 instead of 66 would also be nice, its not a HUGE! change, but its a help. or so i think, you guys tell me.

ChaosAD
01-07-2008, 07:21 AM
I'd make it lvl 60, then 90, then 120. 30 lvls in-between.

Off Topic: Since a lot of people have found Demon Blood lately, out of curiosity, any Neos out there that have turned into a Rogue yet?

if u can have scouts at 45 why not a knight

Rodaa
01-07-2008, 07:59 AM
because scout is a completly seperate class, it isnt just an advancement for Neophyte

poontang
01-07-2008, 08:07 AM
still the same charecter start at level 16. why allow scouts at 45 and not rogues, seems like splitting hairs to me, either that or allowing special preference to scouts.

ChaosAD

Maybe it's to test the player on how patient and dedicated he/she can be and if he/she can resist the temptation to change class early. Maybe this is OutSpark's way to teach us that Good things are worth the wait lol.

well chaos, i hope you wrong becuz its not fair that Scouts cant be as good as Rouges becuz there the quick path, maybe some1 chooses them becuz there kool rather than power.

ChaosAD
01-07-2008, 02:57 PM
Well this is all speculation so don't take my word too seriously. I've seen Scouts in action, i haven't seen Rogues yet. i have no idea who will be the better class but what i know for sure is that the Assassin has always been the most deadly in every game, other classes can beat it with the right battle plan but in terms of power, Assassin is right up there close to Knights and Wizards. The damage isn't as high as those 2 classes but the attack speed is mind blowing.

Wheter Archers will be stronger or not then Assassins, they will still need a good ammount of effort to kill one.

All I'd like is a change in the exp, so that it will be more of a challenge. That way it'll be fun but we're not gaining levels like mad. XD

To start things off, I just wanted to thank Black for bringing up this topic. It's a good idea to get the opinions of others, so...Thank you! ^^
Anyway, I personally like the difficulting in gaining levels. However, the amount of experience that we get from each monster gets harder and harder to gain, especially when you are in a larger party. I think making stronger monsters would help with this problem. ^^
Again, thanks for bringing up the topic Black.

By the Way: sorry if any of it is phrased strangely. Tend to do that.

Thanks Rev ^^
but yeah i think i get what you said, i heard some1 a couple of days bring up an idea about raising the exp on red mosnters, to encorage people into parties and killing them, instead of killing white ones and bah... you get my point.

I think it should be slightly lowered. Isnt the clas.s change level 30 something in xenepic?? Or is that scout? It's lower atleast...

Remember that there's THREE more changes! And most people cant stand the game to reach the first... That's a bit wrong if you ask me.

But lastly... The 50% exp enhancer is announced. And I guess the better ones will be soon as well. So if using the exp enhancer, the game might become 'normal' difficulty level :)

Thanks or the input. I hadn't thought of that part...as usual. XD

Black-Phoenix
01-11-2008, 12:31 PM
yeah, i belive it should be lowerd just a bit, i know alot of people wont like "noobs"(what ever your definition of noob is, cuz ill asure you is not the same as mine) to be scouts and so, but think about it, that wont nesesary mean that every scount in the game is a "noob" or a pro or w/e you think of scouts, but it would be a bit more fun if there would be less space between class changes to keep people looking forward for something.

lol, i thought this topic died... guess not.

That's the change from a Xenian if I recall it right. At level 36.

i think we do need an increase in the exp rate, we are getting to the 2nd class not the end game... and it feels like the end game

from 10 to 66 is really a pain i can assure you that.

i play several online game so far and ill say this game is one of the hardcore grinder community type.

Feels like the endgame you say? mmn..I would think you play too many of the 'easy' games where endgame can be gotten in a week or two...

of course, they're still fun as well.

Hmm, the increase in exp wouldd be better but the class changes are good for now. With the low exp, it's causing some people to quit and stop playing. Though, 16-66 to change class is rather rediculous...Then you need to get to 100+ for next change? Hah, and the way exp is now, we wont see 3rd tier classes till probably late Spring early Summer. lol

personally I've no problem with a slower paced game. People are spoiled on games where you can get max level in a week or two if you try hard enough.

i feel that slower gameplay is completely wasted, once a player becomes bored they will move on, as for the want to become higher lvl, pfft. past a certain point noone cares, it becomes so tedious that it's not worth it besides for ppl who feel the need for bragging rights

Shamusthepirate

You know its weird. Going from level 37 to 38 sucked because of the armor, like wise 47 to 48 sucked because of the armor. Why is the armor the way it is? I think it should all be available in one fantastic boom, or one level apart from the other, not lvl 48 to 56 o_O

Also, the Exp seems fine to me, but its a bit tedious compared to some games I've played where the max level is at 20 and how you play determines how good you are, not level. I'm sure it will get harder, but doesn't everything?

Alot of people have said that leveling is harder near the 50s so all I have to say is, yay! =D If the exp rate is increased that'd be nice, but then it wouldn't be worth it :/

Wasted? You're entitled to your opinion, though there are plenty of reasons for reaching a high level outside of 'bragging rights'.

People will always care, as there is no 'certain point'. It is tedious, but it's the players choice.

Ever hear of self fulfillment/goals...?

Seems to me you're just bored and ready to move on from this game. All of which I have to say: Kudos, and farewell.

Goals are what makes games like these a little more fun. Like my goal of wanting to be a rogue. And I get to fight bigger monsters instead of weird looking things with antennae on their head =D

Oh and where do you go to level/have been leveling Tea? o.o If you want to keep it a secret thats fine.

Lol, it's fine. I'm not super-competitive, and in fact am happy to share any and all training information. :3

I trained at Belteranin Forest from levels 43-51. I tried Baskerville Forest (same monsters as Belteranin Forest except the Earth Ball [in lieu of the Fire Ball] is a wee bit stronger/higher def) - it sure is a LOT less crowded than Belteranin Forest, and I found the exp decent/the same. :3

Right now, I'm training at Bailey Plains (one map west of Eir).
