Do you think Outspark should remove this X-Trap ?

Ok, Outspark is trying to clean the server with anti-cheat software. But the bots are still working on the server and all it added to Fiesta is a lot more bug!

So do you think Outspark shall remove X-Trap on the next update ?

It just blocked 3rd party programs, just alt tab to change stuff in it. It stops the botters.

Well it has stopped more than just the botters. And...according to other posts it doesn't even seem to have stopped all of them.

Not every solution is 100% There may be no one way to stop ALL botters but anything helps, yes?

Granted, it seems a little more beta-testing could have been done prior to implementation....

In this case I would very much not agree that anything helps. Anything that prevents a significant portion of the respectable and responsible players from playing (especially ones who have used the cash shop and are now not being able to use their time limited items) is not a good thing. Period. I have no problem with the theory of things like GameGuard and Xtrap, but when they prevent me from playing and I have nothing installed on my machine that should prevent me from playing, I'm not a happy camper. Again, especially because I AM a paying customer.

But seriously if the admin are not able to configure X-Trap to be runned from non-admin users and from more OS, I think it shall be disabled.

Fair enough but, would you rather they do nothing and leave the bots to run around? Granted, the side-effects created by this program were probably not wholly unexpected but definitely unwelcome.

I have a feeling it was like 'well, let's put it in and see what happens. We can clean it up as it happens.' (i've been in too many programming meetings that have ended on that suggestion)

There are only two outcomes to this. The issues will be fixed or they will remove the program and try to find a plan B. It's just a matter of time to see which option becomes more available.

As for time items, I'd email a GM specifically for clarification on that. I know CM_Vanquish has had concerns over this issue before.

Any anti cheat mechanics that limit what i can do on my PC get removed.

I will not be playing until this is removed.

Unless you want to pay for my computer, don't put crap on that limits what i can do. I am against all anti cheat protection like this, find better ways than putting stuff on our computers.

Every cheat and reverse engineering program can be stopped and navigated around, in short terms, they are useless in the long run and only make legitimate players angry.

Yeah, I plan on eventually recontacting them to let them know when I have finally resolved this issue (if ever) and then let them know that since my initial email I have lost x amount of time on my timed items and what can they do to remedy the situation. But as of now I get to go home and reinstall the game and pray to the gaming gods that that helps fix my login problem.

I does not allow you to run X-Fire.
It disables macro functions on upper end keyboards.
It constantly scans every file on our PC. (Nice to see Privacy is a concern)
Due to the last one mentioned, it is likely a memory and CPU hog.

X-trap makes my computer reboot and has caused me to get a few 'blue screens of death'. I don't think it's good for my computer.

I've had Fiesta removed for now until they do something.

I also have Fiesta store items which have time limits which are being wasted so I will send an email soon.

thats makes my pc reboot also..without an error. i join game..2 mins pass or 3 then reboot.. but please no one tell me something about O/C or Ram problem video card or so.. cause i play everygame without any problem. and my pc never makes reboot. just in fiesta. -join game,2 mins,poof reboot- just like that. that wasnt like that before. since this new patch x-trap . ah i got angry. and thats sad no admins doin something about that right now.

I haven't play fiesta, i won't anyway, because i don't have the time...until weekends, anyway...game-guard is not that great, on other games with game-guard i still see hackers, anyway i'll chect this out this weekend...
Btw i would be on maplestory if not for the game-guard, keeps makeing my laptop beep every 2 secs when i'm running a program with gameguard...

Instead of installing programs, which don't help, they should make Player Moderators who get higher priority of reporting bots.

Removing them manually is hard work but it is more effective.

what the GM did is just show they did something, but to us, its getting worse...bots spammer still there, its apoline server, u can c them when u get in the gate of eld...xxxxxx more lag, more reboot, and the antivirsus alarm.... thx thx thx, let it worse

i know i said i was going to be playing fiesta on the weekends, but i wanted to update it today...so i don't waste any of my weekend time.
Anyway, it has been half an our now, and my fiesta stills says checking for updates, which usually means patch and usually lasts for a max of 15 min. so whats up with this?

I think it should be removed, because having maintenance all the time regarding cheat protection is too much, i respect what they are doing to make our gaming better but still if there is no use then pls stop using this usless program.

bypassing game guard or xtrap only takes up to 2 min tops, no more than that unless it's a newbie we're talking about
no ,that program DOES NOT help at all in stopping bots and spammers from entering the game, they have been in this field for a long time and there's no way they do not have a bypass for any antihack game protection

i was afraid that OS might resort to this solution, there's no game that is safe from bots and spammers, it's near impossible unless you have GMs active round the clock monitoring every bot's hot spot. Good luck to those who are still trying to get into the game with all those xcrap errors

I say remove Xtrap, it's more like L[ag]trap 2X lag with 1.25X better gaming experience, where did the other 0.75 go? Not worth it...

That's a bit uncalled for but I understand your concern.

However, poll or no poll, it will not be removed. Not yet, anyway.

If OutSpark is dedicated to making the overall playing environment better for all players then they will continue to try to address the issues with this program and try to make it work. They will only remove it as a final option when everything else fails.

The sad thing is, it had to happen this way - they are essentially testing the program. There is simply no way to know how it will affect the players until it is implemented, then have a team ready to try and tackle the problems that do arise. In the end they should have a safer, richer experience for all. In the meantime, there may be some inconveniences including, but not limited to, the unfortunate inability by some players to play the game.

However, their intent is to make it safer for MORE players, not lose any existing ones, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they are working diligently to uncover a cause to your specific issue and then create a fix.

Until then, please be a little patient.

do a process scanner ^^ outspark scans your CPU process at a random time every hour (like 01.00 - 02.00 the scan was 01.48 while a an the hour later the scan was 02.02)

well I know its investing your privicy but if they do scan they will find the boting programs..
e.g the scnnar found a process called outspark.exe .. they checks what kind of program it is .. ah it was a our own client .. immunes it, next scan the outspark.exe won't be scanned.

and here to the due if they found a boting/ hack program ..
UtraOmegaGrindBot.exe was found .. they checks what kind of program it is.. ah its a bot program.. they do a auto-closedown if this programs is in use.. xD

Sorry folks at Outspark, but if you are going to install ANY software not part of the game onto my computer (at the very least without an explanation/warning and chance not to install - even if that means choosing not to play the game) then I will no longer trust your game on my computer. It's a shame because I was enjoying playing.

I don't believe even if X-Trap was removed then I would return because of the poor way that this has been handled.
