The thread “daily event schedule” always has yesterdays events, I want to see events that are coming, not events that are past.

It normally says something like 11:45 am PDT - Solstice Survivor
(Yesterday, updated 11:31AM)
This is announced only 15min before the event. I’d like to know beforehand what the event is, it’s not much fun waiting up till 2am only to find that it’s an acolyte survivor etc when it is finally announced.

Including Greenwich mean time in the times would also make it easier for people to calculate when the events are on.

Could you please also spread the events out around the clock, I’m in Europe, so most of the events seem to be around 130am, it is not practical to stay up that late every night for people that have to work. It’d be nice to have more events at decent times in the evenings (and knowing in advance when they will be so that it’s possible to plan to be online at the time)

Maybe if you are sleeping during those hours it’d be possible to get another GM located in another part of the world to host events while you are sleeping.

Thank you. you’re doing a great job.
Keep up the events, it’s the only thing that breaks the monotony of endless grinding.

The GM's are doing a great job. Like yourself I am in Europe and PM'd Rider yesterday to ask if GMT time could be quotes. I find it difficult to calculate time and as you say it is difficult trying to figure out just when the events are going to be.

Scheduling them throughout day and night is a great idea as this is a global MMORPG we should all be able to get a good chance at playing the vents.

Hopefully support in this thread would encourage GMT timings and also events around the clock.

Hello Event Seekers,

I am sorry to say that I will not post the times for a specific time zone. I would then feel that I have to post the time for all the zones in the whole world. We are working on getting a Outspark clock on the website and when that comes, there will be no confusion about when an event starts. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

As for the time I post the Daily Event Schedule it is usually around 10:30 am PDT, which is usually an hour before the first event. Sorry if this cannot accomodate you, I will try to work on getting it sooner.

Thank you for your continuing support of Outspark.

Rider, will you at least try to update the event section 2 hours in advance?

Heh... I think the time he posts the events is fine. And when he does it he announces it in game if you didn't notice, and no not talking about that automatic annoucement (after the "You can get free milk...").
And it doesn't hurt to have google bar :D (3 timezone clock ftw??)

Hello Rider

I can understand that you can't post the game in every single time zone.
It is an international game, hence if only one time is used for the game the most logical time zone would be the international time zone. Most people know their countries time zone(or can easily find it) so they can calculate it from that.

Then the time calculations are simple if put in coordinated universal time (UTC), just add your dime zone to the numbers given in the daily event schedule.

If some other arbitrary time zone (e.g. PDT: -7) is stated then the way to figure out the time is to subtract the effect of PDT(double negative means you add 7h to the time), and then add your own time zone.

here is how to do it for people that want to calculate it:
So 11:30PM PDT is 11:30+8h, =19:30 in coordinated universal time (UTC)
this seems to be the time rider updates the thread.

3:30 PDT (it’d be good to write PM or put it in 24h clock) is 15:30+8h, =23:30 UTC
there are often events around this time.

People east of UTC will be on the following day, so you need to look at events dated for yesterday which are actually happening today. PDT is still living yesterday while we are enjoying our morning.

Now that you have corrected to UTC you can adjust to your time zone, as your countries time zone to the number. Your time zone can be located e.g. worldtimezone.com

On the topic of how much notice is given before events, I personally would like more than 1h notice. I’m guessing that rider is in America (PDT?), and so is posting the days schedule first thing in the morning. Then hosting events during his day, midday, and around 2-5pm. That might make it hard for him to post the schedule something like 4hrs earlier as he’ll be still sleeping?

One possibility is to post the schedule the previous evening, or post a schedule for the next 2 days/48hrs. I know it may be hard to plan ahead, and there could be some last minute changes, but having an idea of the following day’s schedule (the rest of the world is already living the following day) will help in planning when it’s worth being online for a worthwhile event, and when there is nothing of interest online.

Yes the events are announced during the game, and that is very much appreciated. You need to be online to get those announcements, that’s why prior knowledge of events helps plan when are worthwhile times to be online.

Thank you
