I am a mighty level 41 Squire! ^_^

I currently have 1 point in wis. I figure that with the stats from Level 42, 43, 44, and the 2 points from 45 will be enough to learn blazing. 1+1+1+1+2=6

As I am completely torn in this matter of whether or not to learn the much debated skill Blazing... I have decided to let my fellow fighters decide for me.

This poll will be here till I'm Level 45 (which could be a while :P) and should be the center of the debate that is BLAZING!!!

what crack me up is you vote for the 3rd option yourself. LMAO! Anyway, unless you're usually in a big party, i don't recommend getting this skill, its been a waste of points for me, i hardly ever use it, only in a big group when i do. Also, a certain item, which i forgot the name of is require to use it, and it costs 100kron each. I would rather spend that on HP or MP pots. Well, its up to you if you want the skill or not.

think the item needed for it is called fighting spirit or something like that...

Helps us acolytes out =D
A little bit at least, people being able to take more damage = less dire need to heal, ya? ^^
It initially messes with me when everyone suddenly has extra health and it looks like the whole party just took a major hit D:

Well it does give you an extra hundred (?) health for soloing if you do that often.
And you can show thanks instead of just a feeble "ty" when someone buffs you or helps you out if mobbed lol

I like blazing because it gives you extra Hp and it also helped me in getting me more mp from wisdom which helps me go longer before resting.

I only use blazing if I am in a big party. Its a total waste of points and kron if your using it alone. I NEVER use mine alone.

Well, I'm nearing 5x finally and still haven't got blazing. xD I get the "wth Eri! Still don't have blazing yet?! D:!!!!!!" all the time. I see no need for it. ^^; Back in CB, I got it at 37 and almost never used it. I remember when I so frustrated that I couldn't learn it and then finally was like "O_O.. What a waste of money and stat points".

But meh, It really depends if you tend to party up or solo alot. I'd say, If you party - Get it. If you don't - well. You get the picture. :p

Another factor to consider is that it can pretty much be used instead of vit and give you a better result. So, if you feel you’re lacking on the HP department to survive better the mobs and feel you need more, or simply party a lot and you think your party members could use the HP boost, then it’s very worth it. Otherwise, you can survive without it. Overall, I think it’s better to have something you use little but is useful than not have it at all. After all, you’re likely to get it sooner or later anyway.

use it in parties, or it will be a waste of money, mp and Fighting Spirit Tonics... Good for large parties, good for Acolytes mp too. (We don't have to heal that often... save our mp for a dire situation...)

I think you're talking about Eurosia there with the MP boost. Blazing only boosts up HP. xD

And we both know that no one needs an extra quick hp in most situations... XD

(Well, Eurosia saved me one time from a mob train, gotta love the Magic Shield.)

LOL. Whoops had a blonde moment there.

Usually it does the opposite for me, like diamonddust13 said. - "It initially messes with me when everyone suddenly has extra health and it looks like the whole party just took a major hit D:". I go scrambling to save everyone's HP. lol.

xDD You can just ignore what I wrote before Trashknight. lol

isn't the req 35 or something?

Trashknight

Should be 36, the topic-creator wasn't sure whether to get Blazing earlier.

Eh does this mean ur leaving unused stats points lying around while waiting to decide going 4 blaze or not? Not a wise move bro, it's like handicaping urself. IMHO, u should use the points first, then after this poll ended, use stats point from lv 46-50 4 blaze:).

Dont even go for blaze.

If you want Blazing just for the HP (temporary) effect, I think you better add those stats into STA where you also can get decent HP (permanent) from it.

01-24-2008, 10:20 PM
I say you should get it, just because i like it when a squire has blazing (and its very useful in the higher maps, especially when the mobs there hit u for 100+, that blazing lets you tank another hit...oh boy, and imagine when 3 or 4 of them aggro you D: ).

Wow, I wish the idiots would put somewhere that you need an item to use a skill such as Blazing.....if I had known that then I wouldn't have ever bothered to start getting Wis....I demand a stat reset >=o

Rodaa

the item for blazing is cheap -.-, hardly makes getting the skill a waste

josh_45
01-25-2008, 10:54 AM
Its fighting spirit right? for $100? and blazing last 5 min?

so>> if u play for an hour and have blazing non-stop it costs like $2000?

That is change... plus even in a party u should be able to make that in no time.

Note: 60 min /5 min per blaze= 20 times X $100 per fighting spirit= @$2000

hmm as an acolyte, I gotta say nothing helps me as much as blazing. It gives me 30-50% more hp. But more important, it prevents me from having to waste time healing myself first, since it takes longer for me to reach a critical hp range. as well as giving me an extra heal on everyone since everyone now has 90~150+ more hp.

but then again if you prefer soloing or small parties, then you shouldnt bother with it.

Fun how we use dollar here. ^^' Some changes:

100 Kron per bottle, lasts for 3 minutes per buff=20 bottles/hr or 2000 Kron.

more like 2500... we must also take into account the time we have to sit and heal the amount of Blazing raised!
i wish blazing heal as well as raise HP... it will makes Blazing the most useful skill for fighter (Just below Slash and Shield Crash)...

I normally use it at the start of a party (and I do party quite often). So the healer has time to get our hp up and normally it's an extra 2-3 hits for them depending on if the monsters are red to them or not.

I try not to let my healer get hit, but sometimes monsters just INSIST on attacking them. So being able to take an extra 130+ in dmg is good no matter what class you are.

Simple, i dont have it yet but i am always running out of mana before hp (witthout using pot that is) so i am raising my wis anyway and learning at least the lvl 1 skill even if i might end up not using it when i solo will be worth it when i party.

fighters who are 55+ only get good exp thu aoe. in aoe, if the mob hit you 4 then you in trouble. therefore, you need power to kill them qickly when you want to. for instance, getting hit by donkeys. blazing will run out fast relative to the aoe time. so, my preference is only pow, agility, and mentality respectively. also, fighters need pocket room for mp pots.
