View Full Version : Acolytes Ksed the most?

Ever since I became an Acolyte it seems like I get ksed (or they attempt to ks me) like 5+ times a day. Even by fellow Acolytes! [This is really annoying.] I was just wondering what the rest of you think. Post here if you want^^ [Just saying you don't ''have'' to.]

i don't think a paticular class is ksed the most, more off a paticular class ks's the most

the amount of times ive been ksed by an apprentice >.>

Hm don't think so, probably your bad luck =\... Sometimes i get a random magic ice, shield crash, broken sword or ankle binding to help me only.

Yeah something to that effect. I get ksed and I say something, they say sorry, etc. They're usually only ever trying to help, so I can't really be mad at people =/
Someone told me once after I asked something of this sort and they told me that it's because we're the most helpless looking! lol
We're kiting constantly and not doing too much damage, which probably gives rise to thoughts of the sort. I spose a high damage rate for us is a mediocre strike to other classes XD

If you train in the same maps as every other noobie, then you will probably get ksed al lot, your class aside.

Personally, I hardly if at all got ksed while I was an aco, you just have to know where to train and to stay away from crowds.

Glad it never happened to me in CB.

Accidently hit a monster several times with my app, yes. But I never take someone's loot unless they ignore it and run somewhere else after monster slaying.

It's a pity when it happens in SoS. Especially when it comes to the solo-Aco.(Helpless? Sure... >_> mostly until Oblivion and Ghost Steal.)

Try to use more secluded maps you can fight on in the future if this happens. Or take screen shoots and give them to GMs for reporting.

Good thing I follow my motto and only helps out with an Ice 2 if someone is running around without fighting back.

Lol. I was on my aco a few days ago. And people kept ksing me.
I think we need help killing the monsters? O __o''
And they don't know that killing other people's monsters will make you loose exp.

And when other people ice/ankle bind/reflec...etc. your monsters, it just might be a mistake. They only see the monsters and not your attacks 'cause you're on one side and they're on the other. The map is cut off and it's in between, as they move forward to see more of the monster, they'll then stop or something, knowing they've accidently ksed your monster...

idk. XD'' Just randomly talking?

I noticed that with my aco, though usually it's just a mistake of a mage, neo, or squire trying to slow down or incapacitate the enemy so I have it a little easier.

It sure does annoy me but I know that it's all in good heart and if that person trails me and makes the "accident" occur over and over, I'd tell them to stop and leave me alone.

Awkwardly, on my scout, I got ksed by an aco, twice. I'm not sure if she was aware of it so I left that side of the map and went to train on the other side.

Well the image of an aco hitting something repeatedly for low damage and then running away makes us look.... idk, defenceless
But still it makes it all the more annoying since we have to put the most effort into soloing. Although the higher the level I become, the more understanding everyone is of this, and the less accidental ksing that occure.

as for the ones that do it on purpose, I hope they burn in ???? with alastor

Hi face! lol

I don't like to solo much anymore. It's harder at high lvls, since it takes awhile. If I can't find any high lvl parties to join I just go with a lower lvl one. It's fun to help them out. ^_^

hi manic!! =D
you know you got fire and some of the others calling me face now xD

*echem* on topic:
I have to solo to make money sometimes. With all the pot spaming, and barely any items from parties, Im always broke (1,208 kron atm). At least ksers don't take loot ^^

Well good! XD

It helps to be an aco for 1 or 2 people instead of a huge party. That's how I got most of my kron.

I got ksed a few times by squires. The funny thing is, if they are really trying to help, then do it when the mob is still in good health..... not when it's left with 1 or 2 hits more to kill. I was about lvl 20 and almost done killing that butterfly looking mob with my hit and run tactic and this squire which was observing just came along n gave the final blow. And this mob had to drop an armour item + 1 skill book. Geezzz... i couldn't even pick it up and can't even afford to buy MP pots!!. By the way, how does this game operate anyway? Is the experience divided based on the damage you made to a mob before kill or 100% to the person who killed it (in solo play)? Items dropped seemed to be based on person who killed it.

Nah, it only majes me wonder a bit when I saw an aco hitting for around 150 on Souldballs in Belt when I was on my App.

It's dangerous, yet I don't see any point in helping out Acos more with Ice 2 more then other classes when they run around without attacking.

KS= Kill Steal, the intent of hitting a monster someone else is hitting to gain exp.

My aco hardly ever gets ksed. And if she does, it's only like one time a day.

But my apprentice D= ZOMG! She gets ksed so much it's not even funny ;.; It's horrible! I try not to think too much of it and just move away from the people who are stealing, I mean, I'm not gonna be a ***** about it or anything, you know?

But they sometimes follow me D= And it sucks ;.;

Maybe he/she doesn't play with effects on and doesn't zoom out all the way and they can't see you obviously attacking it. Just a thought :P
Most of the times that I do get KSed are when it's another ranged class attacking from the other side.

KS means Kill Steal.

In other words, someone starts hitting the monster you are killing. Which gives you less exp.

I don’t think there’s much else to be said about the topic at hand anymore =/

Nah, I think is more funny when people jump over previous posts. And the only way to avoid KS is to either move to a different area, or report if it persists.

*Points to my post about KS got nelected by the freshie and manic33. ^_^'*

i get that alot when i solo loren too :/
other people trying to help meh out~ but then again, some low lvl players from the map before ks me 2. i usually ignore it the first time, then i warn them the second, then i leave the map~

what is really annoying is when a player starts to follow you around, stealing your exp. D:< whenever this happenes i usually die~

we need more maps =.= & monsters that give more exp.
