Hey I was thinking wouldnt raising AGI help mages out as well? Doing a full INT and then AGI every 5 levels or so to bring up your crit and attack speed?

AGi does not help Skill Speed. Yo need MEN to use skills faster.AGI only works for Melee Atack. I am a 5x App. an i have a 4-1 Int /Men build.i cast a lot faster then pure INT but if you want INT/AGI then its you buil so Go for it.Just rembere you can not reset you stats so if it does not work your stuck with it

i was also thinking about the crit. AGI raises the skill crit.

AGI raises attack crit, meaning physical attack... although this idea crossed my mind back in CB, I quickly realized that us mages do not need AGI, but instead MEN (MEN deals with Skill Criticals), and since mages are a skill based class, that is where our skill pts should go should we want to increase crits and such...

It says in the game that AGI raises attack crit, skill crit, attack speed and dodge?
is that false?

AGI raises attack crit, meaning physical attack...
actually agi increase skill critical and Critical; however agi increase skill critical more.
my agi 47+3 (neo)
Critical 2
Skill Critical 10
nevertheess you should increase men rather than agi

this is so confusing!!!! lol

Because we don't need the dodge. MEN gives similar result fitted for us Apprentices.

but what about the skill crit?

That's what we use MEN for. It increases Hit Rate, Critical and Skill Critical.

You have three current builds; each with their own advantage.(POW is included in each one for better staffs)
- Pure INT.
- INT/MEN.
- INT/WIS.

Pure INT:Powerhouse. Average casting-speed and manapool. Lesser chance to crit.
INT/MEN: Quicker spellcasting and better chance of critting. Below power and average manapool.
INT/WIS: Bigger manapool. Lesser power, casting speed and crits.(Fits best with Magic Shield on a first glance.)

ok that was very detailed. that helps.
what about pvp?

It's hard here for me, as I haven't been on that since December. Pure INT and INT/MEN works clearly there for their advantages in speed or power.
INT/WIS in pvp is something someone here on the boards have to tell me how they fare in pvp.

I think i am gonna go full INT just for pure power. Then maybe in the later lvls add other stuff. what is your build?

Mine's INT/MEN. I don't recommend putting anything in MEN until you reach 40 to maintain a good amount of damage.

Yeah that is what i am planning on doing =p
So i can lvl fast early on then get more speed. And i will only put into ment when i get the bonus points

Just recentley started an Apprentace, and from what I've done with MEN with my scout...
Int/Men would probably be the best way to go. (Although I do agree not to put Mentality in until past the 40's.)

Curious what a Neo has to do with an Apprentice-build apart from the crits... ^_^'

You put that much in the beginning i assume?
Yes, doing so will make you underpowered. Restart your apprentice and try putting MEN around lvl 50.

do you get to reset your stats when you change to mage?
