Ok I see they removed dance 5 because it looked sexual in nature, what about dance 2 that ones like "Hey look at my breasts!" dance 5 to me looked like you were tring to push a fat person through a door. Now believe it or not kids see sexual stuff every day it's not a big deal your kids will have sex someday, only through education can you protect them but you wont be able to stop them. So if you can't take a perverted joke you might as well go kill yourself, because no one in this game does perverse things for a sexual thrill they do it because it's amusing and humorus.

Swearing is another pet peeve of mine who made these words swears and bad to say, they'll only offend you if you let them out side of that I just concider them strong words. It seems to me your just trying to shelter kids from the real world, people sware and do tons of other bad things so the best way to keep children from being around it is to not have kids I mean if your that offended by sites and sounds you probably shouldn't reproduce and you and your family should go drown in a bathtub, lake, ocean or other body of water.

I know most of you are thinking this guy doesn't have kids but I do, yeah it shocks me too, but I teach them that this is life get used to it.

No one's trying to save the children.

Dance 5 wasn't removed because of it's sexual undertones (you'd have to elminate 90% of the female outfits then). It was removed because of the harrassment. People were literally chasing others around town and doing this, and female characters would go afk only to come back and see 3-5 people ganging around them doing it. It's stupid stuff like this (http://www.outspark.com//forums/showthread.php?t=32848&highlight=elderine) which gets dance 5 removed. At least I can block gold spammers and bots I can ignore. Idiot harrassers in town were too much, and it's not worth the GMs spending day and night chasing them down just to save one dance move.

The filter meanwhile, is NOT for the kids (since alot of them are the ones that think it's great to use the langage every second sentence). It's for the adults that don't want that mess. Note that, while there is killing in the game, there's no head decaps, no masses of squirting blood, and the monsters basically fall to the floor then dissapear. The game isn't trying for 'hard edged brutality' and it's definately not trying to be realistic (note, the fantasy theme is one for escaping the real world, not living in it).

True, it's not hard to work around the filter, but it still heavily tones down the language, and for many that's enough. Some game admin mute you if they notice you trying to bypass the filter, and others (*coughDisneycough*) get so extreme with the filter that they keep a list of words you CAN say and ban everything else. This game is attempting a middle ground: some mature themes, but not too explicit.

Besides, it seems to be a trend for MMOs that come from asian countries to have a text filter. You tend to have to accept certain things when picking up an import.

So the 'humpty dance' is gone, thanks to a few idiots, and the filter, while perhaps alterable, is staying. Neither is because anyone wants to 'protect the children': it's adults that removed it FOR adults that don't want it (and there's tons of them out there).

The children? They should be playing in Disney, not in Fiesta ;)

I'm glad you guys responded either way they should put dance 5 back in or at least a better dance then what they have in it's place. Alot of the game has some sexual theames in it. Half the outfits are revealing, the item shop keeper in Rouman is half naked, I mean the art work is fantastic, but it's super sexual (Not that I care, I'd like to get my girl that outfit LOL). The chat filter is tolorable but people get way to pissed off if you type anything shock jockish they threten to report you not that they are probably not reading this but they need to get a sence of humor. I will fight this to the death but Fiesta is way too good to pass by it's got some bugs but the graphics are great just like allways people are the ones who wreck it.

I want the them to remove the new dances and re-add the ols ones..
Or they could give the "female" looking dances to the female and the not so female looking dances to the male.
Like current dance 2,4 to females, 3,5 (to all), add old dance 2,4 to the male.
In that way there would be a gender difference and people would stop complain.. well not completely I guess.

Oh, I can't find the post for the life of me, but the last official word I heard when they added the dances was that the lack of old ones were temporary: they wanted to put the new dances in for now and, later (probably when they can do all the coding to put in more than 5 dances at a time) they will get the old ones in. In the end, we'll have all the old AND new ones available.

As for the Dance 5 thing, again, it's NOT because it's sexual. Dance 5 died because people were using it to harrass other people. No other dance (even Dance 2, which is just wrong when linked with the Cash Shop dresses) had that effect. If people were less harrassy with it then it would've definately stayed.

Sidenote: I HATED it when it came out - it was too simple, too blah compared to the others in my mind. When it was taken off I started to see video and pics of some of the cool things people did with it and now I miss having it. Still, things that cause abuse get removed, that's just the sad fact of it.

While I do believe in the chat filter, I also believe what you said in that people should come to an online game with thicker skin when it comes to chat, especially since we have Block if people really get too blah.
