Can't download the new Outspark Launcher correctly

Ok, I'm a bit frustrated so I will try to keep these comments civil.


The outspark launcher (initial download) is detected by my computer as a corrupted file or incomplete. I've downloaded the thing again, and the same thing happens. The download starts off at a regular 1100kbs, and at the 40% checkmark the download rate drops to a mere 30kbs!!!!.... ... ... thats really slow, and its not my fault, I run a 10mbits ISP. So a 10min dl drops into a 5hour dl... that's not normal dudes!


*Has anyone here actually successfuly downloaded the game? Is anyone out there playing? Or is it just me? Please talk to me people!

Corrupt/Incomplete files are usually caused by a download which stopped suddently or did not complete 100%.* It sounds like this happened to you (30 kbs drop).* I would suggest trying to redownload.* If the problem persists you can also contact your ISP as well and report this problem.

Apparently you should take the time to read the full post. I have downloaded twice already, and a friend of mine is having the same problem. My ISP is just fine, and if I wait 2hours ont he phone to talk to one of their techs, they are just gonna ask me if my computer is plugged in... no I'm not going through this, everything else on the internet works. I am here aren't I? Seems to me like the problem is coming from the source. If you guys are experiencing problems with this launcher of yours, you should rightfuly let the users know. It is your responsability to do so, hiding the truth will only infuriate your growing and future clientele.

dude, GMs are doing the best they possibly can. its not easy to fix all the issues that have been going on latley. some poeple can play, other's can't but thats how it goes. nothing you can do about it but wait till they fix it. you might want to try e-mailing the GMs about it. you might get a better response.

I'm not flamming anyone here, but asking me to contact my ISP is sending me off on a wild goose chase with what was probably a pre-written response.

Well, I have downloaded this game countless of times, the download does work, though, it is*a* bit strange that it keeps giving me an error message, the first time it worked perfectly, though I closed it when it had finished. Trying to connect, did not even open up the program, so I had tried to reinstall it once more, then I got the error messages.


*Beanie is right though, I am sure the Game Masters are trying their hardest to fix all the problems that are occurring, though they should have done it a while back, they should have had more then enough time to fix these problems ahead of time, for how long they held off closed beta number two.

I have spoken with a player from CBT1 who complained about the same/similar problem.* He contacted his ISP, they fixed it for him, and then he was playing the game.* You are correct, I cannot make you call your ISP and stay on the phone with them for a long time, etc.* I am just speaking out of experience with this same problem.*

Most likely the cause of it is people downloading it at the same time. I've downloaded it twice and that happened to me too. Right now I'm downloading it and it's 1600 KB/s all the time and rising and lowering some times but still its fast. Try just leaving your computer on for about 3 hours or just leave it on the whole night. It'll download.

It is possible for some to experience problems with their ISP, especially if others have successfuly downloaded the program. That is why I inserted my speed test in the reply, I wanted you to see that my internet is just fine right now.


In any case, ^^ this guy up top here is probably right, too many people downloading at once. I will try again tomorrow before heading to work, so I can process the next download while I'm gone.

I downloaded the launcher and everything but midway into it, when theinstaller is installing the game, it doesn't even start...





It just freezes there and stays there.








All it says is


"Please wait while Outspark launcher is being installed"

Yea and it makes my ram stuck and need to restart computer, if i download dun using download accleters like bitcomet, the download start 1mbps+ and suddenly so fast done ~.~ i press run and it said file is courpted.


*I did clear my history and stuffs but still the same...

Well it finally worked, I think there was just too many people downloading at the same time, my overnight download worked.





and OMG!!! We got to keep our old characters with weapons and items and levels!!?? I though we were just keeping the name!!

Patience People.* Thats why this is CLOSED BETA.* There are going to be problems.* Deal with it.* Your purpose here is to find them.* Do ask to play Beta if you are going to whine about the problems and claim noone is doing anything to fix them.* GMs are doing what they can.*

Hey, yeah I had the same problem as well. It was corrupted when I looked at it this mornng. Yeah, I am trying to redownload it again.

I've downloaded it a couple of times, but like a couple of posts ago, my comp basically just froze up. I could hear it attempting to open the launcher, but I must have sat there for 15 mins.


I'm not worried though, I'm pretty much posting so people know this is happening to quite a few people. So let's all just be patient, these people are doing the best they can.
