Lock Uruga

I am going to make this thread now, cause other i dont see.

Reasens to lock uruga and opinions, dont flame here people, I want a polite argument.


Here are my reasens:
A) hard to get pt for high lvl claric cause all the lowbies get the DD to duo, so the DD get more exp
b) frequent trains
c) we want to farm something we kill a mob and then the lvl 1 guy gets the shroom/herb
d) gold spammers also reached uruga now, if you lock the gate they wont be here
e) frequent spamming for plvl me plvl me which gets annoying.

once again people dont flame give me your oppinions and what lvl uruga should be, my idea 40+.

While I agree this is extremely annoying, this issue may largely go away when they fix the relog bug which is constantly abused. If after that is fixed the problem still persists, then I would suggest a lock of level 30 or 35.

Even I agree with this, and I'm only LVL 26. XP But I would feel like such a noob if I went to Uruga when I have no business there yet. I don't even think I could get there and survive to tell about it....if you can't get there without dying, then there's a big indicator that hey, maybe you shouldn't be here yet! lol :D

I say MOVE THE GATE to CP1 so that a lower levl cant get to it without help.


if a DD wants to Duo with a low levl then he can bring a lower levl with him.

also URUGA SCROLLS should ONLY drop in CP1/2, URUGA, AEW, FOS, BOD and conseld peak.

i agree with this cause if u cant solo something there u shouldnt be there. Ive even see lv 40 mages aoe soloing .... So i think thats a fair number...

Give me any class at level 30, normal grey equips, and MY usual stock of 100 of each tier 1 pot plus full stones, and I will show you soloing. Level 30 is sufficient to solo chickens, pixies, pinkies (with the exception of fighters), orcs, orc hunters, and king mushrooms. While the soloing might only be one at a time, I don't need to AoE while soloing unless you want the rush. As for the quest, I could care less about that.

I will admit, when I first starting coming to the mesage boards I did not see what the big deal was all about.

UNTIL....

One day while in Elderine I see a message from one of the GM's (Murdock I think) announce a dance party in Uruga.
(I believe I was around Level 20 - 22 at the time)
I actually had a couple of scrolls and went to take a look. (impressive town by the way).
At no point did I ask for a buff, or for someone to power level me, I just wanted to look around. Once I got there though OMG... I see what you all are talking about. It was outragious. And having a GM there actauly made it worse. The poor guy was bombarded by lil idiots wanting free stuff.

Long story short ( I know, TOO LATE for it to be short :rolleyes:)
I agree with a level lock on Uraga.

And I swear to you all, you will not see me there again until I make it there on my own without a scroll.

When I first saw this suggestion(because it has been here awhile) I thought it was unneccesery and stupid. I changed my mind now, after spending alot of time in uruga on both Bijou and Apoline.

When I first got to Uruga, maybe a month or two ago, it was close to deserted. Now it's basicly swarmed with, as you said, low levels. You CAN party in uruga when you're level 30, yes, but it's not near as effective as in cp or another map (I've never been to one of those new maps but I heard they're really good for xp). I guess people think that the higher the xp you receive from ONE monster, the better the xp is overall. But in the time you kill one orc, you might have killed 1.5 or even 2 harkans - that builds up fast.

I am completely sold on you're idea, make Uruga 40+ and restore a santurary for "high levels". Yea, I know level 40 isn't that high anymore, but atleast you can escape all those asking for a powerlevel.

I agree whole heartedly. Tonight, I was partied with a couple of friends helping one of them do a King Mushroom quest, when this low level fighter ( he was still in a kilt :mad:) comes up and asks to pick up our drops, or for us to give him silver. We kept telling him no and to go away - but he would not leave us alone. At least he did not ks us.

The way I see it, if you need to ask someone to power level you - leave and don't come back for 10 levels; and if people say no - don't keep asking them for it - it only makes everyone mad.

If I managed to get off topic, I apoligize. I am tired of low leveled people using me as an aggro shield while they farm the mushies, saps, or herbs that I am fighting the monsters for myself.

so ur one of those low lvs that prolly begs around p lvs an stuff... my answer stands clear even wen i was a lv 30... LOCK THE GATES TO ALL LVS UNDER 40!!!

Well, I guess the lock on the Uruga would stop all the whining and crying from the higher level players, but wow have you all lost my respect. It doesn't matter where we go, what area we traverse, there will always be people asking for Powerlevel, money, bots, I could go on. This game, to me, expresses a free-roaming map, where if I wanted to explore a place, I could. But now we have people who cry as much as powerlevelers do. Am I supposed to look up to higher level people when they whine like this? Am I supposed to play like them?

This is what I see from all of these "Lock this gate" threads. We ALL have to deal with them, no matter where we go. And most of the people that crowd Uruga? 40+. Because now there is a huge influx of lvl 40+ players, you might as well restrict us all, if you want your "haven" so badly. Either have no lock, or a lock that's for 50+ only. And thank you for spitting in the face of newer players.

I get trained and people steal my drops whole the time, low people.
i get invites of them whole the time, i get whining bout give memoney pvl me plvl lme whole the time. f you get plvled by a freind so be it but if he stops leave the area instead of staying and whining and dont expect people like me to be nice to you.

First off, before you ever accuse anyone of anything, get proof. Secondly a lesson to learn in life: There will always be people that take the easy way in life, whether it be just in Fiesta, or in RL too. You must take comfort though that you did it the right way, not neccesarily the easy way. Also idiots rule the world, whether you like it or not.

Lower levels are always going to be a part of Uruga's society now, more so in the future.

It will bring the "Hollywood Effect" with it (people seeking levels, fame, riches, etc). People will exploit high levels and high levels will exploit low levels and the circle of life continues...

...however flames will be doused by yours truely. *super-soaks both of you* xP
