View Full Version : Probably very stupid question about farming...

I've been making and selling stones for a few days now, and all I have to show for it is about 25s. I've heard that farming is much more profitable, but I was wondering if I would get the same items in the forest of tides, as i would in say.... Moonlit Tomb. Thanks in advance.

There is no stupid question! But:

Not at all. The stronger the monster, the greater in level the drop you get, as a quick rule of thumb. Moonlit Tomb should drop about 50/50 between Quality 1(lowest) and Quality 2(regular quality) items depending on the mobs fought.

Wait... I thought farming was harvesting items like trees....

It is. ^^;
Moonlight Tomb does hold much higher quality items, and less of the herb root, stem, and leaves. You're more likely to come across Rosemary and violet in herbs, less apples in trees, and more ingredient items from mushrooms instead of the sea type.

Usually, you get a faster income by selling them to NPCs, but I suppose you could try to vendor it off in towns and the like.

indeed, i would LOVE to see a vendor selling a few hundred sap/spoiled mushroom (LQ) for 10c each, they are used when i make teir2 scrolls. this is much, much more profitable than selling to the npc. also sell those in elderine as elderine people are the ones who will use them.

Farming is a great way to make extra silver, just don't get mobbed. XD

I've found that I've also made a killing just selling old and dim dusts....I don't use em anyways! :D Errrr....I guess that dun help if you have stone ability XD. Potion mats are good too....I can never find enough potion mats anywhere (that aren't charging ridiculous prices...I mean 40c for tough meat? I can BUY potions already MADE for cheaper! lol)

Dusts and all the other items in general are great way to slowly build money and make profit. While I usually try to do so at Collapsed Prison by picking up the drops my kills let loose, I sometimes harvest because I'm far too impatient to pick things. xD

If any of you are at good level, you should go to Uruga and harvest there. My guildmates protected me while I did so, and with four stacks of even the cheapest herbs, I made roughly five silvers or so. I gained about seventy or more silvers! And I was poor, so this was an accomplishment, hahah.

farming and harvesting are different, farming is killing certain monster or mobs to attain drops while harvesting is harvesting on wood, herbs, flowers, mushrooms, etc.

You want to farm, go to Uruga, the orcs are camped often, and the stuff gives tier 3 items (100+ copper)
