Free Sample Item

Hey, were we suposed to something special to be eligible for the free Sample item from the store? I know I never got it even after logging out 7 times. I know lots of other people that never did too. If I was the only one who didn't get it I would drop the issue and figure I did something. Others have the same problem so I figured I'd ask.

I'm not sure what I did though, I logged in to the store, closed the store, and the cart item list appeared like normal in the game, and there the free sample was. o.o

I thought it was just me, but I've closed client completely about 10 times to see if it would appear. Was going to wait until tomorrow morning to see if it showed up - but might as well make it known that I and several others didn't receive it yet.

^^ We're in the same boat, Runic. Just hang in there, hopefully it'll come around in the morning.

Its making me doubt that I want to buy any sparkcash. I don't want to buy something from the store and not have access to it until later. If it's this unreliable I'm better off just living with what I get in game.

It would be awesome if the stuff didnt have expiration dates, but you could upgrade the stuff with more spark cash. that way, people would still buy spark cash for the upgrades, but you wouldnt lose the item after a week

seriously guys the transfer from store to cart is instant its not that bad. I dint even KNOW i was sposed to get a sample item. Did he ever say what it was? cause i cant remember if i bought all the stuff i got or not.i know that sounds like a copout but i only put 5$ in there so i dint pay much attention. Bottom line the store is not glitched out and if you had a problem PM a GM or a CSR. they will tell you straight up what the deal is. They are very helpful. If you need a name look in the GM and CSR sticky they all there

Heres the thing. It's not upsetting me that I didn't get the item. It's only making me think twice about the store. Heck, even the game. I have a problem and I bring it up to a staff member and they tell me its MY computer. Even when it's the EXACT same problem on both of my computers. 2 different video cards, ram, and processors. It's just frustrating that I know theres some kind of problem and everyone says its my fault or its my computer. I know it's a beta and bound to have problems. It would just be nice to have an acknowledgment sometimes, ya know?

I'm sorry if this sounded kinda like a rant or flame. It's just me venting. I love the game and I like the staff. I'm just a little frustrated.

Runic can you tell me exactly WHAT the staff blamed on your computer? Cause it doesnt seem like something about the store. IDK just trying to help. They are busy and they can be a pain, but the staff is actually pretty helpful. You should try to PM murdoc or Break they are the best

It's not about the store. I'm just worried about the glitches lately.

Murdock said it was my computer. And the problem has been fixed. The problem was one where I talk to an NPC and the game sometimes froze there. I told him and said it was on both my computers and he said it was the computer.

I was up when levelling in Sailfield this rider was talking about free samples, paying no little attention I didn't dwelve further into this since it didn't look like it was directed to to me. But later a green message spoke of (I presume everyone sees this messages at a regular basis) people should check there carts for free samples.

Looking it up I didn't see any free sample neither back then or now when I woke up.

It seems to work randomly. I got my free blue lucky ball now when I logged on. Go girl power! XD

i didnt even know about the sample item till i overheard (read) some people talking about it. it was there. i havent had any problems with the store or the shopping cart to date.

Or had to be logged on during it because i got it towards the end of the event but i logged on my other characters and they didnt get one.

Okay, folks! I think I may have figured out why/how some of you are not getting your Sample Item - perhaps you aren't looking in the correct place (I, for one, was not online for Rider's message about the sample item, but I decided to take a look this morning):

Step 1: Go into store and click 'My Backpack'. You should see something like this:

Step 2: Click 'Purchases' (next to 'My Backpack'), and you should see something about a purchased Free Sample for 0 Spark Cash.

When you leave the store back onto your map, you should see the Free Sample in your inventory 'Spend' tab:

I checked the Backpack like in Helen's pictures but there is no free sample for me >_< and i received no email either.

Same for me Chaos. I was there for Riders announcement. I got no email, and I was logged in for a few hours before Rider announced it.
I guess some of us get nothing. :P I'm used to it though.

When i got my sample item, it looked like a purple lucky ball, so I tried using it, but it said I could not use item...did this happen to anybody else? After hearing that they were REAL lucky balls, I'm kicking myself for deleting mine, even though I couldn't open it. ... ... ... T.T

double click it to get a free cash shop item, theres only 5 items it gives:
Teddy Suit, Panda Suit, Wieghtless HP/MP potions and an EXP booster

seems to be a correlation between getting no email and getting no item.

According to rider, they're trying to figure out what went wrong. But I don't see how they can rectify the situation without trying to send everyone a free item again, which seems unlikely to me.

It doesn't really matter if the ball is transferable or not.

Whatever item you get, whether it be pots or a bear suit, can be transfered to other characters, I believe.

no it cant only to your other characters VIA hotel. you cant sell trade or do anything but delete the items. It was nice getting a LB again finally tho
