help with Fighter stats

I am level 8 and have read that an acceptable DD Fighter build is 25 SPR to get a 5% crit bonus and the rest STR.

Question 1, my character's SPR stat currently reads 9 (+5), do i need to put 25 free points into my SPR stat to make it xx (+25) to get that bonus or do i simply need 25 total SPR points combined?

Question 2, i seem to only hit about 80% of the time, so would a few points in DEX be a waste? i plan on going with an axe whenever i can get one so i don't know how that will affect my accuracy.

ya im fighter lvl 22 and i put 5 stats point in dex, after i put my stats point in str and def. but i think we just need STR and DEF no spr no dex no sh*****it like that. They need to put a reset stats! i dont know if there one :|

In order to get the 5.0% critical rate increase you must put exactly 25 points into it. Your natural Spirit increase from level to level doesn't appear in the free stat window critical rate increase.

Dex, though it has its uses, can easily be replaced with aim scrolls later on, and if they look pricey to you right now don't worry they will seem cheap later in the game. n.n

Agreed. As for my thoughts, for DD yes put 25 free stats into SPR then the rest into STR. As for skill empowers, I would suggest not putting any points into anything until 20, then you have two options IMO. You can either save all your point until 43 and become the best AoE DD you possibly can, because by 43 you will have 21 skill empowerment points, and 5 in each area of Devastate (the lvl 43 fighter AoE skill), will make you a VERY good AoE DD, and can save you if you are forced to tank. Your other choice at 20 is to empower your other skills starting with power hit's damage and sp and maybe cd, and sp maybe power on the other attack skills excluding slice and dice.

To calm everyone who DID put points into Dex: This isn't like most games where ONE point can ruin your character. A few points into Dex isn't as useful as Str or End, but this is like saying "saving 50 cents off my $200 bill is good money".

What I mean, your character is fine if a few points go into the wrong place. In the short run, you'll bearly notice. In the long run, you'll laught at even worrying about it.

Now if you had dumped 25 points somewhere you don't want to, we can talk of issues.

To clarify the effects of adding spirit with your skill points, each point of spirit adds 0.2% critical rate to your character until 25 points have been allotted. Thereafter, you will only receive 0.1% of bonus critical rate.
