Lol no no we don't use swords. We use Claws, or Katars as i like to call them ^_^ Here's a pic to show you:

But to answer your question, yes we can equip Claw+Dagger, but only at lvl 101+

thoes really do look more like katars than claws. claw would imply that they somewhat resemble a hand, or you know.... claws...

you know,assassin is the only class whose animation changes when fighting well that is because it can dual wield,oh btw assassins can still use their shields but that is only if you want extra def,but the shield design looks awesome though

anyways, assassins look smexy. do they get increased attack speed from dual wielding? cus that would look super cool i'm sure, just attacking twice as fast cus you have 2 weapons i mean.

also on topic, would you suggest bothering with the extra points in POW to equip shields? im trying to do a pure AGI build and im debating weather i shoudl continue bothering with the shields now that i know we discard them at 3rd job.

you dont discard your shield when you make assassin,you can still use a shield and the weapon to dual wield is found seperatly.and by the time we reach 101(the lvl when we could dual wield) i think our speed should be at least .5 or lower

so maybe just use shields and then rebirth when we can dual wield to move the POW back into AGI?
actually i guess the best thing to do woudl just find a shield with AP and stick with that for a while, since shield only get 1 more armor per new set right?

oh and my question about the speed increase, i didnt mean just from AGI, i mean with whatever agi you have at that level do you attack faster dual wielding than with shield and dagger (not counting -0.1 bonus on +1 weapons)

and yes, real life katars are awesome. they were very effective in close combat back in the day. :P

oh and i have another question, im sure this gets asked alot but i couldn't find it anywhere: does AGI affect skill attack speed? like on threaten, circle trap, ect..?

hahhaa ya. its interesting that their attack animation doesnt really seem to match up to the hits anymore, or if they do i just can tell cus i cant see it up close.

it matches if you look really closly,but if you constanly spam the skill like when the assassin kept doing constant damage,the animation wont match the hits but its only a slight delay

ya thats true, i guess you coudl also say that his frame's get messed up a little bit cus of the framestop when you get hit, but iunno. one thing im a little curious about is that he doesnt seem to be getting any crits. whats that about? o.0

edit: nm i see some crits in there, it's just not nearly as often as i had expected. he must not be a pure agi, since thoes are skill hits.

he does some crits every now and then and i think our chance of our crits are different from Xens and Xenepics

no, the claws are a melee weapon, you hit stuff in the face with em and said stuff dies hard.
at a very high level the assassin learns a shuriken attack, but i think it is mostly just for luring enemies.
no one knows which is better, between claws and daggers, because no one is yet high enough level to use claws. my guess would be that dual claws become the weapon of choice at higher levels simply because every video and picture i've seen on assassins show them dual wielding claws.

i dont know but to dual wield you need to find a seperate claw,meaning a claw that equips in the shield spot

The left-handed weapon requires the same amount of pow as the similar-leveled shield...for example level 96 left-handed blade and shield both require 11 pow (or something like that)...
