str.. you're right, worthless.. however look at all the high lvl mages requesting dex items.... dex helps aim and evasion... do some research, talk to some people about thier equipment bonuses, you'll see

well id prefer end/int over str/dex even if the dex was 30 and the end/int was 10-15 each...
