The lvl 1 hobby uses flotation stones faster then the lvl 20 hobby. I don't think there is an exact time. Also you go much quicker on the hobby than by foot. I don't believe there are exact times.

could someone test it out? Like maybe check every few minutes? Also, I'd like to know if the riding skill is really worth it below level 20.

The level 1 horse uses 10 points per few seconds, and the hobby uses 2 points per few seconds.

The hobby is faster than the wooden horse, and the wooden horse is faster than running.

Below 20? I'd say not really. It is a bit costly and most the places are nearby. After 20 you will enjoy it because it is very cheap to maintain and gets you to farther places faster.

I powered up my basic horse with levitation stones but it goes really slow and gives me a msg about Mover food. Where can I get this "food" from?
(sorry..bit of a noob to this game)

I've counted, the wooden horse consumes 1 point a second (actually 10 points every ten seconds) while i'm not sure about the hobby

And, you get mover food from Item Merchants, you need to buy and use something called a "floatation stone"
