@soadrawk -
It looks like the path is incorrect for the Fiesta folder. The path to the bin should read &quot;C:\Program Files\Outspark\Fiesta\Fiesta.bin&quot;. I have no idea how it would have been altered to include those odd characters in the path. What I suggest trying is to try renaming the Fiesta folder to &quot;C:\Program Files\Outspark\Fiesta&quot;
...instead of &quot;C:\Program Files\Outspark\FiestaH|other funny characters
Open My Computer&gt;C:\drive&gt;Program files&gt;Outspark&gt;Fiesta...hit the back button and try to rename it to the correct path, let us know what you get.
********************************************
@ exire -
According to that error, it sounds like your video card is drawing more power than the power supply can give, or that it's power connector is loose, or its not seated properly. none of that sounds right, as you are correct in that Fiesta is not that big a strain on a graphics card.
If anything is overclocked on your system, (vid card or processor), don't, and see if that fixes it.
Double-check that you have the latest drivers from ATI for it...it appears the current version for the X800's was released on July 18th or so. If your driver is older, try updating it and try Fiesta again.
********************************************
@ Trebori -
Standard advice - Make sure _all_ uneccesary applications are shut off while playing. Because your crash happens with such regularity (at about 15 min of playing?) it sounds like something on your system is activating at about that time and crashing the game. Shut off everything that you can and try it that way.
More standard advice - looks like nVidia updated their forceware drivers as of Yesterday, 7-26. Try updating to the current version and see what you get.
********************************************
@kiteaura -
There was an odd issue with older characters having negative experience, and one user reported that an older character had lost weapon/armor/shield/necklace. The problem seems like it may be related to your crashing when leaving Echo cave with the old cleric. Since your new character seems to be functioning OK, my only suggestion is to go ahead and use only characters you have created in CB2 with the new client.
If you have the same (or other) problem crop up, please let me know.
********************************************
@ Beanie -
Same advice as for Trebori - make sure _all_ uneccessary applications are shut off when trying to launch the game. It just seems like something is preventing the game from going on-line. Make sure MacAfee is set to Allow any and all Fiesta traffic.
Also, check the dxdiag tool and make sure you hjave DirectX 9.0c...not 9.0a or 9.0b. Update to 9.0c if you do not have it.
********************************************
Please everyone, let us know what or if any thing changes after trying out the above suggestions.
Cheers!

The folder path is named correctly. Those weird characters aren't actually in the folder path they just show up like that on the error box. The weird characters*in the error*change every time I try to log in too.

Ok, thats just weird. I'll see if we can come up with any other suggestions. You have, naturally, tried uninstalling, restarting, and reinstalling the latest Fiesta client? Alos, when you downloaded it, it appeared to go OK, you had no dropped connections while d/l?
We have it running here on Vista fine, but I am trying to duplicate your error here.

I changed the compatability to none and then something different happened when I launched the game. The same message comes up buts without the strange characters anymore. I checked the folder again out of curiousity and I found that the Fiesta folder had disappeared! lol I'm going to reinstall again and hopefully it will work this time.

Please try running the game without Compatibility Mode, if you have it

it worked fine until it got the patch, so maybe something went wrong there?

4. Basically, i get stuck on the loading screen. One connection holds out for 1-2 loads, then next time i try to load a map, it won't load. The game isn't crashing, alt+f4 lets me quit the game. I've been*experiencing the problem since i've*installed a router - or since today, if that's not the cause.
5. AVG-Antivirus, it's firewall is turned [OFF]. The router's firewall is in effect.

4.1. i have several random crashes, no special activity though just wandering around on a mission, so that i have to ctrl alt del. this also happen when i'm warping to another place (like from roumen to forest of tides) the screen goes &quot;now loading&quot; for quite a very long, long, long time...
4.2. when i played (especially when attacking or got my self attacked) there's seem to be a major lag... my character and my target enemy freeze (i can see my mage casting a spell, but no projectile shot) and the next thing is my character got suddenly hit by several punches that instantly killed my mage... (man, i don't even know, nor see what hit me..) i'm sure that i can kill that speedy slime with only two direct hit..
i think that this lag thing also happened when i try to give my mage a rest (i still can fight, or wandering around), but i can't seem to rest (i hit the home key several times, but no mushroom homie...)
i also think this lag thing also in effect that when a run around, i got teleported to the same place back and forth... (when i walked to point D from A, i got teleported to point C, and then back to point B, and forth to point D, and then back to point B, and so on...but finally to point D...)
sometimes all of the above symptoms cause me to get disconnected..but usually in 60 minutes of play i got disconnected for about 2-3 times now (it was 5-6 times), with the occurence of the above symptoms...

4.1 Game will freeze entirely for half a minute to a minute, then crash entirely. Window comes up saying the display device has stopped working correctly. All graphics on my screen (desktop etc) are wonky after this, and I have to restart. If I send the error report, Microsoft tells me to download an update from them or from Intel, but my driver isn't listed so this doesn't help.
4.2 At times while fighting, my character will freeze mid swing. I can click to walk and stuff, but the enemy chars don't walk around, still the breathing action thing, but no other movement. This can last a while, and sometimes it goes to what I said above, and sometimes it unfreezes. I find either that I didn't start attacking what I tried to attack, or that I killed it. Once I attacked one thing, then tried another with no different result, and had attracted an aggro by the time it unfroze, so the game continues, but the graphics freeze on my end.

@KeeperNS - It sounds as if the onboard video chipset on your computer is straining somewhat to run the game. Obviously, Fiesta will play with 64Mb of video RAM, but it is going to have some sluggishness related to the graphics.
The first thing you should try is to update the video device drivers for the Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express. Check either on your computer manufacturer's or Intel's web site for updated graphics device drivers, and see if there is a later version than 6.14.0010.3865. If so, download, read instructions (typically you need to uninstall the driver you have before installing a new one) and install the lates one.
This will not solve the issue of it having &quot;only&quot; 64Mb of VRAM, but it may help.
******************************************
@ Andarian - Same idea. You might first want to uninstall, then reinstall Fiesta to see if it corrects the lack of environmental graphics. But you should also consider updating to the latest Forceware drivers for the GeForce FX series. Nvidia released new drivers last week, so if you have not updated them yet, you probably should.
****************************************
@ Exies - Not sure yet, we are trying to duplicate the problem here

Its really a simpel matter on the system requirements page, but I put it hear anyways. you state that the grpahics should be &quot;<font color="#ffffff">nVidia GeForce MX/ Radeon 7500&quot; for those of us that do not nknow what ram that card has, it would help to have it stated that you need a minial ofX v ram to run game*</font>

@ Quing - Sorry to say, although Fiesta is not terribly demanding on most modern video cards/devices, your Intel 82815 integrated video chip (it is part of the motherboard, and uses system RAM for video) is not going to be able to play this game.
At 4Mb of video RAM, there is just not enough to even start the game (32Mb is the barest minimum, 128-256Mb video card is about what it wants, 512Mb video device is smooth sailing these days). Sorry for the disappoinnting news.

@ inuyasha0 - It looks like the problem is indeed your graphics device. It is an on-board video chcip (that &quot;borrows&quot; memory from overall System RAM to use for video memory) that does not appear to support the features that Fiesta uses. Additonally, it has &quot;only&quot; 32Mb of video RAM to use, which is not enough for the game to function smoothly.
Display Device Name intel 82845G/GL graphics controller
Approx. Total Memory 32MB
Display Device Driver Version 6.13.0001.3119
You could try updating the video driver to a later version, and see if it allows you to start up the game. Possibly the newer driver would correct the issue and at least allow you to play the game, but slowly.
About the only other thing you could do would be to consider installing a &quot;true&quot; video card on the system that has at least 64Mb of video RAM.
If you try the driver update, let us know how it goes.
*******************************************
@ pete_soup - First, do a Clean Install - Try uninstalling the game, deleting the left over Outspark folder at C:\Program Files\Outspark (unless you installed to other than the default directory), then empty the Recycle bin, restart the system, disable all background applications (Ctrl-Alt-Del to see Task Manager, End Task on anything you see), reinstall Fiesta 1.2.56 Launcher and try it again.
It never hurts to Defrag before installing, if you have not done so in a while.
Let us know how it goes.
********************************************
@ Flaerzaen - [Mr. Burns Voice] Exxxcccellllleennnntttttttt!
Glad to hear you are enjoying the game.
********************************************
@ Ace328 - Everything about your system seems like you &quot;should be&quot; able to play Fiesta nicely. Good job on updating drivers...one question would just be that, when updating your video card driver, be sure that you uninstalled the older driver before installing the newer one.
The symptom that you are getting does nto &quot;seem&quot; to be that you can't connect to the server (you can log in and create a character), but that when it goes to load the first map/Zone the game quits...This &quot;could&quot; be related to a video driver issue, or it could be a corrupted map file, or pssibly some other issue.
If you are sure you removed the old video driver before installing the new one, the next thing I would suggest is tio make sure you have no background applications going, try the game...if you get the same result, do a clean install (see above) and try it again, and if it still won't load the first zone, it could still be a connection issue, although this seems less likley. Make sure any and all firewalls are set to Allow traffic for Fiesta or are disabled, try turning your anti-virus software (if any) off to see if you can get in to the game...thats about all that comes to mind right now.
Please keep us posted.
********************************************
@ Mihou - I don't speak German, but that seems to indicate that the Launcher can't connect to the internet. Check that any firewall on the system is either turned off, or that it is set to allow traffic for Fiesta to and from Outspark.
Try turning Messenger OFF.
Go ahead and leave Compatibility Mode OFF.
It looks like it is, but double-check that Internet Explorer is set to Work Online (under File in IE).
Try turning Avira Antivirus OFF just to see if Fiesta will then start.
Let us know how it goes.

Hello!
Upgraded my machine today (added a new 600W PSU, GeForce and sound card), and now Fiesta is crashing =( No serious crashing issues before today. Anyway, here's the breakdown:
1. Did you download the new installer/launcher?
Yes
2. Were you a CBT1 tester?
Yes
3. Are you able to launch/play the game?
Yes
4. Brief Description of crash or disconnect
I can play in normal areas, but it'll crash whenever there's a lot of stuff/activity. For example, I can hunt normally, but towns will crash for sure.
When it crashes, the screen sticks for about 15 seconds, then the game closes and I get this message:

TY for posting your info Melchior
I also have a 7600GS and I*didn't know that*new drivers were out until I noticed your driver version was later then mine. If I update my drivers and happen upon a failing Fiesta, then your problem would be the driver itself, not the hardware. If not then I don't know what to tell you.
Edit: Your drivers aren't the problem. I just updated mine yesterday and the game still ran fine. There could be a few thing wrong here, some more likely then others:
A) Heat: Adding a 600W PSU and a new video and audio card without adding any fans? Are you trying to fry your computer?!?! Yes, I know that the video card has a fan but not a very big one. All that new equipment is generating ALOT of heat (but not enough to trigger any failsafes) so that's probably whats bogging down your system and making the video loop and die.(e.g. You've heard of the Red Ring Of Death, no? That problem with the*Xbox 360 is attributed*(correct me if I'm wrong)*to the system heating up*so much that the soldering on the video card becomes lose and it effectively dies.
B) RDRAM:&quot;***** &quot;*has high latency times and heat output so that might cause a problem. Don't read too much into this problem since the 7600GS has its own GDDR RAM.
C) The most likely problem is just the hardware itself. You got a bad card, no big deal at all. Just send the card back to nVIDIA (assuming it's still under warranty).**
Sorry to steal your thunder CatsClaw, but I had to help him since he has the same kind of video card I have but all of the problems I don't.*
CatsClaw
08-14-2007, 02:47 PM
@ Flaerzaean - No worries, all thunder is fully share-able around here! The idea being that we all help each other out, thanks for doing so!
You nailed it about the possibly now-very-hot computer that FFOMelchoir is now sporting. Bad vid card is a possibility, need some fans is a possibility.
One other thing I would do before anything else, FFOMelchior...just uninstall the video card drivers, restart the system, and reinstall the latest version. The error you are getting is so clearly related to the vid card, that would be a good place to start.
You might also just try removing it and re-seating it in the motherboard. Having swapped vid cards in and out of test systems more times than I could ever count, I have had times where just re-seating them can solve a problem.
Let us know how it goes.
********************************************
@ gorgron - Please post your system specs (see first post and run Dxdiag)...the problem may also be related to your video card/device.
********************************************
@ LordXanatos - I am trying to get some information so that I can have you check something, if you are continuing to get d/c'd.
You may also want to update your FX 5200 drivers, the version you have right now appears to be an older version. Always uninstall a video card driver before installing the latest version, as per manufacturer's suggestion.
********************************************
@ finalfann - Also going to ask you to check something after I verify some information. The disconnects you are getting seem to be too often for my peace of mind, and thank you for keeping track of when/how they happen, please keep it up!

I had this exact problem. You were lucky enough to have your's work after you used the /NCRC command line switch. You did*in fact get a corrupt download. Go to where ever you downloaded the file to and check the size. I don't know why the size of the file has changed on the website, but when I downloaded mine (uncorrupt), it was 805MB. If your size is smaller, then you might try deleting and redownloading the setup.
Also, here are you latest drivers for the 7600 GT:

Flaerzaen &amp; CatsClaw&gt; Called nVIDIA a few days ago and they asked me to make sure my mobo/BIOS drivers were upgraded . . . I didn't think it would help, but I tried and it ended up working o_o The guy who I had to buy my BIOS upgrade from (yeah, I had to buy it ~_~ ) said that it's a common issue where old BIOS might not have the proper handshake protocols with newer updates on XP. So, crashing is solved!
However, thanks for bringing up the heat issue. I already have about 5 case fans, so I thought I would be okay, but I checked my CPU temp and it's running around 70C ;_; So I will definitely work on getting that fixed.
So, thank you thank you thank you!

@Flaerzaen: ("/user/82708")
The website is showing 663MB and my download is 663MB too, i don't see why it will be 800?
A few other guys in the forum are having this exact issue even after redownloading so i don't want to start this over before it gets fixed, where i come from we pay for the usage of bandwidth so i don't want to download again recklessly.

well like i said irplank that was just me. When I downloaded it it was A. an earlier setup and B. a larger size. I don't see why with the patches it is a smaller size, probably optimization. Whatever the case, if your playing the game fine, then don't heed my advice and &quot;download recklessly&quot;. Remember if you want expert advice, then ask CatsClaw, because*I'm just a Helpful*Lurker.

Ye and i thank you for trying, but i went to do my own reaserch on why it happens with this type of installer and the issue with them is the download accelerators, seems like segmented downloads have a tendency to corrupt this types of installer quite easily.
Anyway i downloaded it again with getright as it allows for non segmented downloads and it installed fine.
Sigh, now it's the server connection issue.

Did you get accepted to do the beta testing?
@chikenchunk ("/user/50373"):
Please post the information of you pc like everyone else, it's hard to pull answers from nowhere.
That runtime error is most likely memory, but just post your pc information like this:
1. Did you download the new installer/launcher?
2. Were you a CBT1 tester?
3. Are you able to launch/play the game?
4. Brief Description of crash or disconnect (ex: &quot;Game froze while I

Fiesta Not Responding&quot; ...or &quot;I was playing for about an hour and a
half, game disconnected without an error and I was kicked out to
Windows Desktop&quot;) - Please include the full text or a screenshot of any
error message you receive.
5. Name of any anti-virus software and type of firewall you may have
(ex: &quot;I have MacAfee and I run ZoneAlarm too&quot; or &quot;AVG Anti-virus and I
have Windows firewall activated&quot;)

@ Sudeki_Cd -
Your system should run Fiesta just fine.
Checking your information, if you look at your Dxdiag info under Display, there seems to be a problem...it should have a number under Approximate Total Memory, not &quot;N/A&quot;, which means there is some issue with the display device. We have a machine here with the GeForce 7300 LE, and you should see 512 Mb.
First susgeestion, either reinstall the video card driver that you already have, or download and install the latest version from Nvidia.
Note- Either way, you will need to Uninstall the driver you have right now before installing another driver.
After doing that, run Dxdiag again and check that Display reads 512Mb for Approximate Total Memory - If it does, try Fiesta again, it should run.
********************************************
@j0rdan07 - Please post your system/dxdiag information as described in the first pos, it will help tell why you are having the problem.
********************************************
@chikencunk - See above.
********************************************
@ Everyone else - working on it, will post with suggestions as I am able.

3: No. recieved error of "There was a problem logging you in. Ether your username or password was incorrect, or you are not authorized to participate in the closed beta. Besides this warning i get a auto-redirect to your site saying "Page not Found."
Current programs: McAfee and ZoneAlarm Pro.
Easily exceed the requirements on space and memory and directx and sound...only iffy thing could be my graphics card but considering i can load WoW with no issues i doubt this is the problem either.

4. In echo cave, I am being constantly kicked out to my desktop when im logging in. I need to try up to 14 times, getting crashes over and over, until the game doesn't crash on entering. I also cannot exit echo cave as when i use the miner to move from map to map, at the transition 'now loading' page I crash, causing me to try entering the game again with another up to 14 tries. When i enter im back in echo cave and not in sand beach. The only way to move is get myself killed and use move when i die. When i click the move from dying, im still crashed, but will enter game in roumen. Sometimes the screen just hang there and using task manager Fiesta Launcher is 'Not Responding'.

Using Win XP on broadband cable connection. Comp exceeds all requirements for the game. Had been loggind into the game for a number of hours. Earlier this morning my toon (level 12 cleric named Wink) was in Echo Cave. Was leaving to go back to Sand Beach after talking to the Cave Miner when I was disconnected from server. Now every time I try to log onto that toon, I am disconnected. If I immediately try to log in again, I get the following window:
OutsparkLauncher.Navigate: unknown c++ exception
When I close that window, another pops up:
C:\ProgramFiles\Outspark\Launcher\rb\launcher.rb:1 8. in `navigate' C:\ProgramFiles\Outspark\Launcher\rb\launcher.rb:1 8
I tried later this morning, same thing happened.

most of this issues are caused by a graphix engine bug in most games...it's something related to most windows updates and yes, as many of u saw by now it's caused by the C++ lybraries within XP. the best ways to get rid of these problems are to either get a full C++ or to have the creators change certain features of the graphix engine(guess wich one u actually need to do). for the GMs and game programmers: the cause of this problems is caused by the correlation between the game engine and graphic card lyb within windows...up to this date most companies have had problems with this issue...the only known way to do this right is actually to exclusively use microsoft C++ lybs for this(that's what i do at least) or release the lybsas part of the game installer(wich would actually make them open source---not a good idea). hope this helps in any way.

Either there is a hacker trolling these forums and sending e-mails that look like they are from Outspart Account Support, or Outspark is replying via e-mail and then NOT giving prior notice as they say they will. Be aware that I recieved an e-mail in answer to my PP, one asking for login info. I sent the acct name ONLY (not the p/w) and have been having some serious problems since then.
I DID ask for assistance ingame (when i could get back in!) from GM Kaalan, and was accused of having gone to a gold selling site and picking up a keylogger. I both resent that accusation, and refute it!
Other players please learn from my mistakes and be very careful when replying to any e-mails asking for ANY login info!!
LATE NOTE: Got another e-mail from same place saying they couldn't find any trouble on their side. Still can't get my toon out of EC. I'll keep ya'll posted on what happens.
LAST NOTE: They fixed the problem for me yesterday. I'm so very grateful, thank you so very much! Now if we can just work on the communications a bit?
