Mining Skill + Pick Axe?

I have the mining skill but do I require a Pick Axe or some other tool to be able to mine?
As I simply tried to do it and it said "Please equip right equipment"?

Any Help would be appreciated :)

You need a pick axe (can be brought from merchant item pey in roumen)

Yes, buy a pick from an NPC item vendor (Pey of Rumen, for example).
