View Full Version : Guild harassment

This is getting out of hand, it seems that no matter where I go or what I'm doing, someone is sending me a request to join one guild or another. Now that's bad enough but when the person keeps on sending you the join request over and over again it is verging on harassment. So this is it, how often do they have to send join requests to me, before I can report them for harassment, as this is what some of them are doing. It is actually starting to bug me as much as the gold spammers.

A perfect example would be earlier on I was in a KQ and this one person kept on sending me the request to join their guild, I must have refused it a dozen times before I accidentally accepted, which worked as it stopped them, it was also the shortest time that anyone has spent in a guild, as I clicked the leave button as soon as I noticed what I had done, but it was not just me, as other people in the KQ were shouting at them to stop it before the end of the KQ.

I'll bet I'm not the only person that is getting pissed off at this.

Well, after the first time you say 'no, thank you' and it continues, issue them a warning: "I said no, thanks. Please stop asking or I will report you for harassment."

If after that, gather your screenshots of the two above-mentioned incidents and the continued requests and report them to a GM.

Or put them on your ignore list.

Hope this helps.

I could see it considered as some kind of spamming.

I believe that you can also turn guild invites off in the option screen. This might be a better solution for you, and you can unblock if/when you decide to accept an invitation; hopefully after someone has talked to you about it for a while.

Check it out! Hope it helps:o

Nice call, I didn't know about this option as it is something that I have never looked for, then again it is something that I or anyone else should actually have to turn off. It does seem to work, sort of but all that happens now is I get all these whispers of "are you looking for a guild" or "do you want to join my guild" so you actually don't really get away from it :( but now I can just ignore it.
