Who's better archer or swordsmen

i guess i am comfused on who to choose. i like the idea of getting in someones face and slicing them unmercifully with my sword. on the other hand i like the ability to take out enemy secretly and easily from a distance and make him think for a while. so my question to all the best gamers out there is "WHO IS BETTER THE ARCHER OR SWORDSMEN?":confused:

OF COURSE, it depends on you both caharacters r good but differ in many ways. their skills r different a range character & a front fighter. THey both have their AoE skills, but an archer's defense is not good as a fighter. But for me, my favorite char. is the ones who has a sword:)

Archer/scout; You have to move back a lot if you have to. Your def isn't so good, but you don't receive as many hits. You consume a whole lot of arrows and mp pots. ; ( (expensive char)

Swordsmen/squire/knight; You get hit a lot.. Unless your def is high enough and surpasses the mosnter's hits. Your power on the monsters stay the same and goes down by little, if you solo, you'll need a lot of hp pots more then mp pots.

all classes are even, there is no "best" class, its just down to what you prefer/enjoy playing

Correction, Acolytes CAN fight. You were never around for CB when everyone feared the mighty Sylvina in PvP. XD She was the best and highest acolyte in the game during CB (I think, feel free to correct me on this for those who've played CB along with me).

Just acolytes have to be great kiters, otherwise, most of them get tossed to the back burner and left there to rot away. ;_;

Anyways, back to the topic: Like others have stated; It's all about how you prefer to play. ^^ Personally, I stay with my Squire rather than my (soon to be) Scout. I like playing tank for the party and hacking/slashing away. ^^
