Unable to finish my KQ Quest because I am lvl 17. I guess I was not in the party that either killed King Slime or hit it first.

You're going to have to drop the quest, michaeljob. It isn't really a bug, some quests have limitations on them.

A member of your party needs to deal the killing blow for you to get credit. Not a bug.
