Yes, this is a guild specifically made for the players of Secret of the Solstice who aren't paying money to play. This guild isn't exclusively for those players though, anyone who supports people who don't have the upper hand of sparkcash is welcome to join.

Purpose of this guild: To bring together a community of people who can't spend money on sparkcash for cool gears, experience enhancers, emoticons, and super-potions.

Requirements: None!You can be anyone, we have open arms to all players, whether they spend cash or not, though, cash spenders should have some feeling of support for those who can't spend cash and have some understanding of how different a situation they have it compared to cash shop buyers.

To be in the in-game guild you have to be active in the guild and be at least lvl 45.

Background of me and reason for me making this guild:
Early 2008: I am a scout "competing" against other scouts who have access to the cash shop store. I feel that I work very hard for my level, and am trying to "stay on top" so that I can become one of the first few archers in Solstice. That said, I feel that the fast leveling of the cash shop buyers (paired along with my own faults) is detrimental to my goal, and I feel like I'm a parapalegic running in an Olympics full of steriod users (not meant to be in a harsh or offensive way to those people). This prompted me to make this guild, a guild for "normal" people who can't have access to the priveliges of enhanced speed/strength/agility and don't have the ability to level twice as fast with the 100% enhancers.

Guild Leaders:
(Active!)Convent (IGN: Trente), Guild Founder, the creater of the guild and former leader of the guild. For all intensive purposes, also the current guild leader while trying to get the hierarchy changed after a year hiatus.
(Other Guild) Orangeman21 (IGN: Dipple), [Title Still Pending], very active and commited member, contributed much to the guild in its early stages. ^^ Thanks so much for the help while you were here Dipple!
(Activity Unknown)DSaturn (IGN: DSaturn), [Second in command], also very active and commited member, helped with shouts with yellow eggs and still stayed to the free player path, helped the guild leader with many things all around. ^^
(Activity Unknown)Burner69, Lieutenant, very committed member, literally hunted us down to join. Always online, keeping tabs on everyone and giving heads up to people who need info.

Meeting place: It's the Blacksmith area in Candyvault, just above the pond and a little below the gate to Harrington Forest (props to Dipple for the location).
General Meeting Time: Might change with hierarchy change. Used to be Saturdays at 6:00pm PST.
Alternate Meeting TIme: Sundays 6:00 am PST. This meeting is held for those who can't make it to the Saturday meetings because of time zone conflictions.

Reason: It's annoying to have buddies drop off your list b/c your too low lvled, when they're constantly using those annoying exp boosts. Hoping to find some people who are more relaxed about lvling for when I don't feel like a grind. Sick of having someone freak out that thier exp boost is wasting while you're off restocking mppots.

If the guild ran events that didn't require cash items that'd definately be good to. It's annoying to realize that you can't do an event b/c you're not paying for a disco wig or something, but they do have server costs and all, and it's preferable to having this be a pay game.

I hate the fact that you can't participate in certain events unless you have a special item, and I hate the fact that you have to buy items in order to level up as fast as your friends.

Not only are the prices too high for my liking in the store, but I don't have access to paypal or any other way to pay, anyway!!

Reason: I agree about the events. I just check the event schedule (skim through it) and the events like rider is lost in, save iceman, ect. require sparkcash items. Also, it's really hard to lvl without sparkcash items to help with your stats and most of the higher lvls have sparkcash. Soon, you'll be seeing everyone walking around with angel wings and backpacks.

Personally I like the pond in cv, it'd nice as long as people don't mind being a bit wet. On the plus side, cv has less people in it most of the time so we'd have less idiots wandering in and being a nuisance. That'd probably be an issue in Essene. On the neg side, cv is 30+, which means new players couldnt make it, although that could be a good thing in some people opinion.

East of the city hall in bryn has a nice park too, but we might have confused Xenians wandering in and asking for help.

I think that we should meet at the blacksmith's in CV place because it is a change from the CV pond area. From looking at everyone's sig I think that we can all make it to CV.

My friend was talking about how on Xenapic they had a video with guild houses in it. It doesn't mean that we will get a guild house becuase I think it is up to Outspark, but I really hope we will get one.

Yeah, the CV level limit might be a problem. Also, unless the GMs dictate the marriage place, the pond area is a rather popular marriage site, and I have an odd feeling it could be used for a quest later. Though CV is rather empty and would be a great general place to meet up and talk without normal disturbances.

Where is the blacksmith's place? Is that the large area that's semi-fenced off sorta south of the gate to Harrington?

Guild houses would probably be nice and convenient, if they end up existing.

The blacksmith is a little north of the pond area, I hid there for awhile without anyone coming by in HidenSeek and I believe it is blue on the minimap. The lvl limit isn't really to high I trained my Neo to lvl 30 in a few days.

One of the quests in the pet quest tells you to go to the pond. Also the website where the video with the guild houses was has been shut down.

Yeah, I remember passing by that place when I trained in Harrington. =3 That seems like a good place, though if many people less than lvl 30 join, then we'll probably have to relocate. I don't see this as a problem, though, because most people aren't complaining about how they can't buy cash and the extreme advantages of cash until they're lvl 30 anyway.

Sorry to point out the obvious, but that might either be too spoilery or incorrect, so I guess it might not tell us anything, but it could have given us a probable clue about what may be in store.

Like most of us know the grind really starts around the late 30s, then goes downhill and its not to bad before then. We'll see what happens with this new update maybe it will be better for higher lvls, but its also more of an advantage for the exp. booster people.

The difference in armor items is more apperant in the lower lvls than in the higher lvls because most of the cash shop items offer more defense than the regular armor. One of the reasons I won't use SC is that the defense is so low compared to what I have in-game for free. The accesories are the main things I hate about SC that doesn't take up any space that armor would go and offer extreme stat advantages.

That really more how I see the situation. I'm still downlaoding the patch so my assumptions might be totally wrong now.

Reason: Well I really don't disagree with Sparkcash, it's a wonderful idea really. The exp boosters do tick me off... when used ever-so-frequently. Pretty soon you have friends at massive levels, and there's a chance they won't talk to you (or of course party, which I don't mind about) because they're hooked on teh book. Also that last Adeline party... a bit too far there.
And hey... it's a challenge to train without Sparkcash ^^.
I plan to join this guild as a way to collaborate ideas with both free-from-cash users and SC users in order to solve issues in the topic of Sparkcash items.

Oh and if I do get accepted, I can't go Saturday morning PST.

If you warp to Candyvault using the teleporter you end up almost right in the middle of the town. If you just keep going west, you'll reach a building that has a furnace sorta like the ones in the ore refinery in Brynhild look like, but it's not such a refined building. That's where we meet. ^^

TO EVERYONE:

Do you guys think that a recognition for 2nd/3rd/4th class changes at guild meetings is a good idea? I just thought of the idea, and I thought that it'd be a great way for us to celebrate ourselves and our hard work.

I don't think that this will be a "we work so much harder than cash shop users" cuz cash shop people can join the guild too, and they still do work hard for their stuff.

Yeah with Trente taking a break I'll kinda take over the guild for awhile, until he gets things sorted out.

Next week at our meeting we will be holding a find the NPC event that will be in the first three cities. The prize for finding the NPC will be a prophecy fragment so invite your friends to come to the meeting and hopefully this will be able to advertise the guild more. Everyone that comes to the meeting is allowed to participate.(Might do more than 1 round if I find more frags.^^)

This will be described in our guld forums in more detail.

I'm planning something with events now. I'm sick of seeing that most free player events can't really...happen for us in the US, and I'm not sure about other countries, the events just occur WAAAAAY too early for schoolbound people.

Therefore, instead of complaining, I'm hoping to do something about it. ^^ Instead of following that impossible event schedule without cash, I think that this guild should host free-for-everyone events during the week.

But...I think we need more people. >.>; I'm planning events for Saturdays only for a while, then when we have more people events can occur all the time! xD And we can make a huge difference in the world of Xen.

T.T If I couldn't only find someone selling leather, I could buy it; I have enough. If the guilds do end up costing that much, after I get everything I need for the pet quest, I'll donate what I have... Depending on how long a play for, I can make 100k-400k a day, and that's just by selling the armor and stuff back to the store. Okay, so my news, since I already told Chibi in game... My mom pays for my brother to have a runescape membership, so she wants to get me sparkcash to be fair. I want to be able to say I made it to Templar without SC like Dipple can say about knight, so I think the only thing I'll buy is Yellow Eggs... With those, I could actually help the guild, and still make the difficult trek without SC boosting items. I'm not exactlly sure when this will happen though, so it may still be a few days before it starts, and it would only be $5 a month. Well, after I hit lvl 52 today, I got bored, so I was timing the letter quest in Brynhilld... From the start guy to the hotel it's almost 5 min, From the start guy to summer street it's almost 7 min, and from the start guy to Arcarinas Square is 2 and 1/2 min.

At the moment we have two events in a repetoieurowr or however it's spelled. xD

They're rather original too! =O We've got the "find these two people and listen to what clues they spew out to find the other person" event and the "overweight run" event. Basically a fat run and a complex find the person. xD I've come up with other ideas to simulate town mass spawns, pvps, and stuff, but those are in progress.
