Ok well im a lvl 15 mage prob 20 tonight agter stopping my 20 cleric and I have 80s because of really lucky drops.

I want money not to be an issue for me cause i wanna be able to get all my skills and the gear I want

So if someone can answer:

I think I wanna go pots cause thats very helpful for a mage but what would be a very good money making skill

I was thinking either scrolls or stones but the problem is stones doesnt seem to make much and SBL is a ton of money

I dont mind putting in my 80s to buy sbl but will I make it all back

Please if anyone can be of assistance

You can always have other characters do different alchemy skills. I think pots is a good skill to have on a character you don't use. T1 pots can be profitable, but T2 pots aren't really worth making. Pots are quite affordable, so either use a side character to dump meats, crystals, and spirit fruit to, or just buy it at a reasonable price from vendors.

Stones may not be great profit initially, but once people get to tier 2 lixs and xirs, money comes in pretty fast since there's quite a high demand for t2 stones and they sell well. Scrolls are the most obvious money-makers, so it's always safe to have that.

Another thing you should take into consideration is that decomposition is a very useful skill to have once you hit higher levels and are no longer getting tier 1 drops. Most people have decomp on a side character to turn t2 and t3 mats into t1 and t2 mats, respectively.

at lvl 15 you should be fighting ratmen. great source for sbl. after you reach a lvl where you can't get the sbl from drops you can always have another character get it. the storage is shared by all your characters.

also, for more cash you should mine. it wont take up a skill slot and can be quite proffitable. you get copper and topaz from echo cave. at higher levels there are cave's for silver and gold mining.

go scrolls they sell eazy at 100cc each for t1
and you can get all the leather u need in the mist
free money

stones scrolls. and have decomp learnt on an alt.

If you've got to decided between stones or scrolls on a mage, I'd chose scrolls, just because when you're grinding it's much better to produce more scrolls to clear up your inventory than it is producing stacks of 10 stones each. Besides, stones and decomp are great choices for an alt character.
