when i got to elderine, i went afk for a moment
when i returned i had been kicked from server, which wasnt so unusual
but when i logged back on the name of my character was changed and i have no idea how that happened or if its even reversible
if anyone can help plz reply with comments

A GM probably changed your name because of inappropriateness. PM one and ask, because there's no other way to change your name.

if its inappropriate then you should be able to make it ur name

I'm sure they'll change it for you. They might have just changed it cuz you were afk and they were unable to contact you.

If it was innapproiate they probably changed it because you were afk and they could not get a hold of you, So they just changed it. Was your name inapporiate?

i wont disagree that its slightly inappropriate, but its not offensive
and if its inappropriate enough to change then you shouldnt be able to make it ur name
i spelt it properly and everything too, its not like i used some slang or anything
if someone else can have the name milfhunter then i should be able to keep my name

While you may not think it is offensive, to some people it may be. As for this person with the name "milfhunter", the GMs cannot keep track of all new characters, and generally probably don't know about alot of the obscene names until someone sends them a screenshot. There are a few people in particular on Bijou I have been meaning to report now that I think about it...

As for the issue that you said that you should not be able to create characters with such names in the first place. I am not sure but I am thinking that would be a hard filter to make, especially since alot of people make these names with like numbers instead of some letters such as zero instead of "o" and whatnot "l33tsp3ak" nonsense. Basically, names such as the one above are against the ToS which everyone agrees to before being allowed to install the game or whatever. While most people blindly agree to these terms thinking they would never break these rules anyway, they tend to not think about their character's names alot of the time.

well l33tsp3ak doesnt matter because i spelled it properly
if they can filter cus words they can filter other things deemed inappropriate
and if theyre not going to change my name back i would atleast like to pick a new one

Nooo, your name might have been inappropriate, they might have tried to contact you about your name, but you didn't respond so they proceeded to change it without telling you.
Afew months back they made a rule that you'd be banned if you didn't voluntarily change it. So you got lucky.

either way i dont think it was fair to change my name like that
ive taken screenies of ppl with far worse names, ones that actually offend ppl
