Tips for anyone wanting to change from Acolyte to Disciple, So umm post your like 45-50 LVL tips here guys, thanks!

Numero Uno!
No one told me when I was doing it but From 45-51 i guess pure power is the best way to go. Right now i'm almost 51(yes cause i'm slow) And looking back it would have helped me a LOT if some one would have told me that at lvl 45. I didnt do that so i have a weak damage base right now....so lame

The play style of a support Disciple is totally different from an acolyte so keep an open mind and remember Assist heal is your friend keep using it ALL THE TIME. Plus you can cast on others, and in combo with an acolyte it can make a party nigh on invulnerable.

Allright thats all i have to say for now, leave your tips here guys. Hope you like my thread :)

Second rule#

Assist Heal is not a social benefit., It's your lover and life! Appreciate it all times. Everyone loves having this casted on them when grouped.

Third rule#

Keep a larger amount of MP pots on you now. 2/3 should be MP pots, the rest hp pots or fruit. I carry 300 mp pots and 50 hp pots now more or less.

Fourth rule#

AH-kiting.

We all know that you can't stand against Alastor's forces all the time. Learn to run away from the mobs attacking you when you have too low hp left, and cast Assist Heal and run around them a couple of times to regain enough hp to cast AH again and beat the daylight out of them.

Fifth rule#

Get AP-gear as soon as possible for a reasonable price. It helps immensly for this class.
The better defense, the more you laugh as Assist Heal overheals the damage you take.

Sixth rule#

You attack a target effected by Burning hands without knowing the effect will dissolve, will recieve a failure medal. This thing is like Spirit: Look, but don't touch unless you intend to attacking the target while it retaliates. XD

Seventh rule#

Eurosia requires an item from the General Store to work. Rookie-stuff.

Dunno about you guys, but I'm the opposite and same as I was an aco o_O
Heal everyone as the similarity.
Aggro things as the opposite.

You are an attacker that heals, learn this =D

Er, to elaborate on the AH-Kiting... Get +1 boots and you can outrun most mobs. You recast Assist Heal when you're far enough away that they can't hit you before the spell finishes but close enough that you won't lose aggro status o_O

If you can hold off till 54 do so for the new gears( club of truth n starlight set ). I couldnt so i change at 51 XD because i wanted to experience playing Disciples and learn how to use the skills well. But thats just me.

Time shield is ur friend.
Soloing a monster and an aggro pops out?? time shld jab him once n stop so that it runs away. if u dont poke them they will just be stun a few secs n goes aggro on u again.
How about if theres 3 aggros on u or u want to solo higher areas??
well once u get burning hand, which i think is hot(even it deals no damage), u can BH one monster, time shld the other move away a bit then u can solo the monster.
To solo high level monster like from rud or ice ( this of course u need BH )
Time shld then whack them a few times till ur downt to half hp. BH, AH then wait a bit to gain hp by then time shld is ready to go. then wats that sayin "rinse n repeat" XD

hi, i'm new to the game and i was thinking of playing templars, squires, or priests, in any case, does it help to wait till you are at level 65-66 before changing to a disciple from an acolyte or it doesn't matter even if i change at 45?

oh and i'm sorry for hi-jacking the thread but i guess it is relatively close to the topic right?

The longer you wait, the less time spent on aquiring the skills. You get access to Chain Block Instantly if you wait that long.

Your pick, your choice if you want it easier(?).

actually i have the same question... so statwise.. waiting till 66 has no effect other than you get a skill instantly?

are there any other "advantages"?

Equipment too o.O
Disadvantage would need to learn real quick how the abilities work =/
Then again, you'll die a lot right after you've leveled and it wont matter...hrmm
Ah! You won't know how much stat distribution will effect your character, radically changing from aco o.O

hmm.. i see.. so basing from your replies, if you're already decided to go disciple then the best time would be 54 then? hmmm... thanks for the help..

Around 51-56, depending on how much time you want to learn skills. By going for the later you get Eurosia(I liked Euraijor better XD), and closer to Burnin Hands, and the full starlight set available.

nah.. i don't think i will hang around for the skills.. it will be erased anyways.. it would have been nice if i get to keep some of the skills as an acolyte though... =)

well... yesterday I went to the skill book merchant and bought a minor heal book, and after double clicking it I learnt the skill (again, since I lost it when changed to disciple) but of course I cant use it cause the wand is a required item to cast minor heal, so I have it in my list as a useless skill o.O
Hope that having that "extra" skill wont bother my char and his skills in the future :S

Adios!
