Fighter Classes

I just turned lvl 20 and I have an item "Steel Wind Axe". I reqs lvl 20 and CleverFighter or higher as the class.

When I hit lvl 20 I changed my class to CleaverFighter, but I can't equip the Axe, it keeps saying the item cannot be equipped...so what am I doing wrong, why can't I use it..

First off this should be in the fighter section I believe. Secondly, did you do the job change quest where you fight yourself/your shadow? If not go to Elderine and talk to Warrior Master Marty and do the lvlup quest. After you come out of the shadow dungeon victorious and finish talking to Grand Master Sean again, you will be announced server wide that you are now a cleverfighter. See the title cleverfighter is added to your title list when you hit lvl 20 for some reason, but you are technically not a cleverfighter yet.
