Greetings.

So the problem is simple enough to explain. Randomly when playing, the game will freeze, and I get the error message "d3dx9_25.dll" is not responding. It only happens with this game, nothing else. I have the latest version of DirectX, of course.

System specifications:

Windows*Vista Home Premium

Intel(R) CoreDuo CPU 6600 2.40GHz

2GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS

SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio

That is a DirectX error. do you have the latest version of DirectX 9.0C?

I have DirectX 10, as I use Vista. But I have installed 9.0C in addition for compatibility, so yes.

I'm reviving this from the dead because not only have I but several personal friends now have this problem. When I run vista on my computer and I close Fiesta it crasheds and gives me this same error. The d3dx9_25.dll file seems to crash the game for some reason. This has happened on 4 different computers that I know of. I have both Vista and Windows XP yet it only does this on Vista. I am using the same computer to run the program, so I have come to the conclusion that it has to do with Vista and a compatability issue.

Any solutions yet?
