I am currently a level 14 Mage. I am new (look at title :P). I am looking for a good guild that is friendly and will be there if I need help.

Level 14 mage.........not a chance dude. Try at level 20+. No one gets into guilds without being at least lvl 20

Its actually very hard even at level 30...
Not to be a downer, but i could prbly hit 20+ in bout half an hour (with others help ofcourse)
