The name game.(GMs' plllzzzzzzz read!!)

:cool:Ok, so, I recently made a new character. His name, was OJ_Simpson. I thought i would have just made him for laughs, unexpectedly, he ended up becoming lvl 31, full armour, lots of titles, good money, and just a great life, until now. Most people just laughed when they saw my new characters name, no one critisized me or anything. Now for some reason, every time I log on, you know what ppl im not friends say to me? "Hey is there nyone who can put OJ back in jail?" or, "God I wish you would do something besides kill people OJ, i hate you!"...all of these rude and nastily said comments are making feel really down, i just cant stand it anymore!!:mad:People tell me to change my name and stop offending everyone, what have I done to them? Someone said i have a (s-word) name, someone said to stop killing people. When i say that im not the real O.J Simpson, they barely believe me, but you know what the truth is? IM NOT THE REAL OJ SIMPSON!! Some of the stuff i get from ppl are just plain jokes, but some ppl say there not even kidding about what they say!! This is just aout one of the worst things that ever happened to me!! Its even worse than my babysitter coming to my house on Saturdays!!! I cant stand it at all:eek::eek:Ive come a long way with this guy, if i change my name, like ppl want me to do, im gonna have to hcnage my character, I dont want to do that, this is the best ive done in all my time playing Fiesta, now everyone wants me to completely change my character and everything!!! PPPLLLLZZZ GMs' if there is any safe way you can let me just change my name without making a new character that would be better than my babysitter leaving on a Saturday!! If anyone says something or does something that can help me out in this time, that would be utmost great..:)

I miss the early days of EverQuest when the duels done there were made public through the whole server. We'd see a lot of name humor. It was actually around the time of the event with OJ fleeing the cops that two people made an "OJ_Simpson" and the other "Thecops". The OJ character would flee the zone they were in and it would announce "OJ_Simpson has fled Thecops". I still occasional name humor in Fiesta but I miss the old days. :D

Well his name is a well known and controversial name. You should have expected it. Everyone has a different sence of humor and take things differently. I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask a GM for a name change, since people are finding it offensive and its effecting you.
Just PM one of them and ask.

Well his name is a well known and controversial name. You should have expected it. Thats just the thing, you know, i didnt expect it at all. everyone was nice to me and laughed, now they pretty much wanna hang me. @_@

I don't mind your name. I mean it's an online game, and I've seen so many people with offensive names (not to me because I don't care). I don't think OJ_Simpson is an offensive name regardless of what people say. Sure it's a controversial topic, but..well...who cares. It was about 12 years ago anyway.

OJ, Don't listen to what other people say. You can;t change your name but you shouldn't let other people putyou down. Ignore them by blocking them. This is game is about having fun and making friends.

You didn't earn ANYTHING! Scooby, Lord, and I powerleveled you from 1 to 30! Stop complaining about losing what you've "earned". If you want to change your name then make a new char. You'll lose what was GIVEN to you FOR FREE.
