Giant HoneyWing Killed For the SECOND Time

For the second time in a week a group of us (names in red) were at the demise of the Giant HoneyWing. This time our finishing time was no where near as good, but we are all happy that we WON!!!!!

This time there were only 2 fighters, 4 mages, 2 archers, and 2 clerics. At the end I really was not sure we would make it. Both clerics (Rand and I) were down to no hearts at all by the time we started on the Giant HoneyWing and there was one time where we (the clerics) chain rezzed each other and then rezzed the mages and archers while making sure that our tank (one of the world's best :D) Kamahli stayed alive.

We have done the "impossible" twice now, with two somewhat different layouts. A lot less clerics this time, for one. But we still did it.

People trust your party, know your roles. That is all you have to do. Back each other up, even if you are not on the same team. In the end, you are all in it together, you all win the same..

GRATZ AGAIN!! but i'm wondering, do you people know each other in kq? It seems that you people know each other, and whenever i check honeying there's always 1 recruiting (as in 1 person has signed to kq).

Actually what happened is that a few weeks ago I was in a HoneyWing KQ at the same time Khamali was. I was in a different party from him, but my habit has always been to keep an eye on my party but to also heal who seems to be the main tank in a KQ since usually it is too much for any single cleric to keep up with a "true" tanker that will agro everything (observation based on being a cleric but also from tanking). Kamahil was not too high a lvl when I saw him first but he still managed to get us to the third ring before time ran out despite the fact that the parties were *VERY* cleric heavy. I actually ended up doing enough healing that I was fairly consisently pulling agro away from him but everytime he saw that happen he would mock or devastate to get the agro back. That is something that is hard to keep an eye on when the person who stole the agro and is taking damage is not in your party, but he managed to do this regularly. I did the KQ a few more times with different people but everytime I played when he was in the KQ (even though we never managed to be in the same party) we not only got further than I had seen with other groups, but the quality of his playing was *ALWAYS* excellent. His ability impressed me enough that I added him to my buddy list so that I would know when he was on and I started only checking to see if I could get into the HoneyWing when he was on and had signed up for it. It did not take long for us to get into the habit of partying together before the start of the KQ when we signed up for it (Kamahil tends to solo alot so he rarely seemed to be in parties or if he is it is with one of his guildmates).

I honestly do not know how often Kamahil and I did the KQ, but somedays I know we tried 4 or 5 times and we noticed that even when there were mages or archers in the KQ most of the time they were nervous about using the aoe attacks. Since the KQ never seemed to fill fast I decided to ask a few of my mage buddies (Yes I am a cleric that will happily duo with a mage or even be in a mage party ;) [4 mages:1 cleric Oh My!! O.O]) Soitre and Magorous to play with us at times and Kamahil would ask __Sin__ and they were happy to do so when they were on. It turned out that a mage that I had met randomly, boomz, was a buddy of Kamahil's so we were able to get him to join us at times as well.

One of the times we did the KQ we were lucky enough to have a guildmate of Kamahil's join us, the cleric Rand_Al_Thor. It was honestly the first time I had been in the KQ where I was able to work in tandem with another cleric which help out ALOT. We were able to get the top (Kamahil had consisently gotten the parties to the top for more than 10 KQs by that point) and kill a few of the honeywings. After the KQ was over our party decided to try again and to keep with the same people since we seemed to work fairly well together and did not mind each others company :p. We spent the time that we needed to wait before the next KQ and partied in GC for awhile to get more familar with each other's playing style. Since that night Kamahil, Rand_Al_Thor, Soitre, Magorous, and I have partied at different times for quests (including all of Rand's GGKs in one night ;)), grinding, and just plain fun. The advantage we have had from this is that we have learned each others strengths and weaknesses, but more importantly we know that we can trust each others to do what is needed. I will admit it helps that none of us get mad when we die :p since my rule of thumb is that I will kill (accidently) everyone *at* least once a day.

LOL yes a little bit we are however since I have not heard of others beating this twice, I will enjoy the distinction of being one of the people who has for now. I fully expect that now since people know that it can be done that both our record for the time 7:14 left and for winning twice will be soon eclipsed by others ^_^. The pleasurable thing for the KQ was not in the winning though, but in the fact that I was able to play with people that I enjoy playing with.

To be honest as much as we wanted to win this KQ again we did not know if we could. Kamahil was lvl 50 and is getting close to lvl 51 so mostly we have been doing the KQ because we are going to miss Kamahil when he can not do it anymore.

What I received the first time is shown in the last screenshot from the first thread. What I received this time is 5 groups of t3 mats (10 of each pf the 5 types) and 5 high grade Cure potions.

u r wrong about this, u may have done it before we did but ive seen alot ppl trying and not making it so IM PROUD OF ME AND MY FRIENDS for beating this KQ, this isnt something that one person makes the diference... psycho said im a great tanker, maybe im but without their help i wouldnt have done this! We are a great team and up for any challenge in this game.. i wish more KQs were like honeying... thanks everyone and gratz whoever did and will do beat Mean Giant Honeying KQ

Actually in one of the many patches of the game, this KQ was glitched. When I first tried it *months* ago (yes I have leveled REALLY slowly trying to keep pace with an AWOL training partner :rolleyes:) we made it all the way to the top and there was no Giant HoneyWing nor any of the little ones though everything indicated that the program was working fine including getting the little pop up blurb where the Giant HoneyWing spoke. To be honest I thought that this KQ was still bugged when I finally tried it again. I had so much fun that it did not bother me that we only got to the third ring, figured eh its still glitched so it doesn't matter. Imagine my shock the first time we made it to the top and there *WAS* something there :eek: lol so then it all the sudden became a question of "Could we actually beat it?" and not just an exercise of how quickly could we get through the mobs as quickly as possible and maybe dance or goof off in the remaining time.

When we won the first time I was asked by several of my team mates if I would post that we had won, just like the few other cases of this KQ being won that we had *heard* of had been. I agreed to do it since I had taken screen shots and tried to make sure everyone was in them and that names could be seen. We kept hearing that winning the HoneyWing was a fluke and could not be done again, that meant we wanted to see if it could be done again. Honestly the more important thing like I said, interested in just doing the KQ before Kamahil became too high lvl to do it (he was already lvl 50 the first time we won). It did not hurt that one of my buddies in the game (Magorous) was not with us the time we won and wanted a chance to finish the KQ with us.

It would have been nice for you guys to have posted your wins in this KQ to let others know it was doable and even able to be won many times in a row. My posts were not meant to shadow your achievements and I am sorry if you feel that I was trying to do that. These posts were made to let others know that winning this KQ was possible and maybe give them a challenge for beating. I would love to see other winners of this KQ post their wins.

O.o this is not the first time ^^ back in October i gather a group of my friend LVL 49 & 50 and beat this KQ so many times .. and it was so super easy I *I as a planner so i gather all my friends that are 49 and 50 * it was back in October so this isn't the first times ^^ LOL Atlust ** and back then this KQ wasn't glitch at all ^^
