Well, basicly it is a monarchy to a point. They still have a president.

England is only technically a monarchy. One could call it a historical monarchy allowed by the will of the people. Prince can be a title or a name. The statement 'You can call me Prince or Kota' could be taken as a pompous statement or a greeting. I looked at it oddly too but if we all (The WHOLE BIG GREAT HUGE WORLD OF US) took a few things a little less directly and didn't assume they were to the negative..lots of happy times folks! We can start the World Happy Wave Movement right here and now! Yeah and balloons...anna..anna...um...some soda pop for new peoples..an...those...erm, yeah nametags! That should do it... WEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
