Forest of Slumber and Ancient Elven Woods both rarely dropped Tier 5 items (Tier 5 according to the decomposition chart (http://www.fiestafan.com/wiki/Production_Skills#Decomposition_Production_Skill), but Tier 4, 5, and I think 6 if you go by the colors of the drops).
Now with Burning Rock, Flaming Mine, and the other high level areas, we are seeing many many more of these items, which can be of great use to the Fiesta economy with the now abundance of higher level players which can take advantage of higher level items such as scrolls and potions.
I honestly can't think of what the downsides would be to introducing T5 Decomp, but if you can think of some, please post and let's discuss this like civilized Fiestans <3

Downside: the higher lvls get even richer?
Cause they get far more mats from decomping T5 than from T4 for use in other production skills. It's hard enough for the lower lvls and the non-productioners to get money. :p
But, as you know, i'm for it. People with T5 decomp can just offer thier services to other players. ;)
It could also encourage people to start a production skill, if they don't already have one, or work on their current one more. Production skills will make more of an impact with the T5 decomp.
^All my thoughts so far on the subject.

T5 drops are selling to about 700c to NPCs, and after a few hours of grinding, high level players are easily getting rich without decomp :P
but with T5 decomp (and T4 scroll production and T4/5 pots), people will be spending money on those to other players. In a sense, the entire GDP of the game increases with T5 decomp.
As for how many materials come out of a T5 decomp, it is probaly in the range of 1:1 to 3:1. T4 items items currently decomp into anywhere from 1 T3 item (for things like ores) to 5 (for things like tough meat and torn leather).
So we wouldn't neccessarily see an EXPLOSION of T4 items in the economy with T5 decomp, but if someone decompted those T5 allllll the way down to T1, you would see quite a bit more low level mats (although this would eat a lot of fame. but it would be great for the supply of lower level mats).

Shouldn't OutSpark and Fiesta be worrying more about comp than decomp?
Since decomp is currently far more useful than comp. Adding T5 decomp will only greaten the gap between the 2. Really T4 scrolls/pots/stones should be introduced first, before T5 decomp, *dramatic music* only then will comp have a chance to catch up to decomp in usefulness. :p
