Along with some good people, but seriously..I go in a KQ..I'm the ONLY fighter..I'm a lvl 13 fighter, and I'm not meant to tank, I'm a damage fighter. So I get stuck tanking, 'cause the cleric who had higher def than me, can't hold aggro. To I take it, it's all cool, people heal me..then I die, come back, and try again..what do you know..NO ONE HEALS!...And there happens to be about 7-10 clerics in this KQ...So I spawn once more..try AGAIN, and hmm..everyone sees me taking aggro but again..out of those 7-10 clerics, NONE heal me..so I end up dying ONCE again.

It is sad. However, if a cleric is not healing you then feel free to finish killing your monster and sit in your house for a good minute to get your health back. You could also try something else, but I have found in my experiments it does really wake people up.

Same sorta thing happened to me in mara. My cleric would heal me really late....and the tanks wouldn't kick me aggro away T.T
After dying twice i decided to sit down and watch them fight. Then the maintenance notice came up. So i suicided XD.

I think I've seen u at the slime KQ. Thing is, i'm a fighting cleric but i do heal my party-members. Only problem is, when u see a bit of HP loss then try to heal, there was a delay in healing. The only solution i found was to keep pressing heal -- but not too many clerics i know would like to waste stones/potions just to anticipate damage. I never fight, though, when i'm the only cleric in a party. Just so you know not all clerics are bad but most of them are wary of wasting coppers.

Tip for cleric users with low money...
In a KQ even if you have heal 3,4,5
you can always spam heal 1 or 2 like crazy (lvl 1-10 shouldn't have any problems with buying SP stones they cost 4-12c each) even on lvkl 24 they are low.. 19c
Cleric's doesn't need so many hp stones 10 is enough and is only used when emergency.
Cool down is very importent on heal.. 5 on Lower SP is optional but is very usefull for those who need money.. Don't use bash keep auto attack and heal while you grind to earn money..

Yeah i'm well aware of that. I love clerics tbh, without them i'd be on the ground alot more then i'm used to. And i understand that they dunt wanna waste stones, pots, money, etc. But i would like to know that you tried.......
Like maybe 'whoops, i accidentally healed myself', or 'sry i didn't notice how fast you were losing hp'.
I usually get '...' and they stare at me like i should rez myself or something (LOL that would be cool).
And i am always aware when i got myslef killed (mostly through stupidity, like magic bursting an unmocked group of mobs), in this case i always tell them that i was in the wrong and not to blame themselves (most do anyway).
But when i'm sitting there throwing bolts of frost and flame while taking lotsa aggro, it would be nice for the cleric to devert attention slightly from the tanks just to give us mages and archers a little back up. I mean after all the tank has a much higher chance of surviving then us. So let em take a few hits while you heal us once or twice (mob will be dead by then, XD no mob survives longer then 10 seconds), then you can go back to healing the tanker.


This is my opinion, i've played cleric up to lvl 17, (Heal slave all the way XD) so i dunno how you pros do it.

To be honest, most clerics can get like 20-30 heals without lowering SP consumption on Heal. It's not a matter of wasting anything, it's a matter of being lazy.
Personally, I fight, and I heal if I see someone stat to take damage. It's a multi-task thing I've gotten good at. Just ask the cleics to pay attention, instead of being lazy and only fighting before you actually start. Or get someone you know to be in the pary as the cleric.

Just to say something good about the clerics, I have met quite a few that are awesome. They fight and heal everything that moves extremely well.
back on bijou server, i had this sorta reputation (i decided on it no one gave it to me) that no cleric could keep me alive in any party. I would always die within 10-20 mins of grinding. However i have met 2 clerics that were capable of keeping me alive (even though i was a psycho mage, with no end -.- just lotsa int XD).
This doesn't include aoe parties cos then its the tanks job to keep me alive. Most tanks can't do that either unless they are like 10+ lvls above me. But yeah, maybe i was unlucky or maybe it is me that sucks for not knowing how to hold back my skill spamming.

For some reason i try to do that too......If i see a party member getting attacked i start spamming my skills on it to pull it towards me.......being a mage and all i kinda die instantly compared to my party members.

It's really unfair (though I know there could be some) to call clerics in general lazy or even money-wary. I was an archer at Teva, then settling at cleric, then cleric again here at Epith. I like fighting monsters but decided on cleric so I could be included more often in parties (archers are sort of lonewolf, but that's only my opinion). And yes, I do blame myself whenever a member died (though they just often laughed it off) and always thinking it's somehow my fault. Like all 'fighting clerics', I pride myself on having my one-and-a-half of my eye on my members' HP, then heal like crazy.

If you're a full str cleric, you shouldn't be in a party as is, unless someone is healing you. Tanks are called tanks for a reason. They can take damage, but stones do have a cd.

THe point of a being a battle cleric is to get more xp. By sitting back and only healing, you get such a minimum of the xp share, it just sucks. It has nothing to do with being selfish or not. I'm a battle cleric so I can get my levels faster, but I still heal.

Ive Raised nothing but my endurance so i can be a really good tank cleric^-^
But i enhance all my weapons to max so i can compensate for lack of strength, high criticals help too. And healing is really useful when ure on your own but in partys the clerics really useful skill is protecting mages and archers and healing warriors. So haveing a high endurance means i can take lots of punishment and can focus on healing.:)

Sorry didn't read all the posts but I wanted to say one thing: I hate fighters that refuse or can't tank! Any fighter can tank, it is just a matter of healing, and not being one shotted. At level 20 with my full str fighter I was tanking, at 22 or 23 I believe it was I tanked both mara and marlone at the same time, though only barely, and I was using an axe the entire time so...I don't think DD fighters have anything to hide behind besides cowardice...

I've tanked as a DD Fighter as well. :/ It isn't so bad during Slime KQ as long as you're smart about how to tank. You don't stand there and let all the mini slimes hit you while tanking the King. But it seems like there's a lot more DD Fighters than actual tank build Fighters so... I'll be switching my build soon enough.

The other time someone had a smart idea to make me a tank cause I had the most def BUT Clerics failed to heal me when someone pulled too early. I went up to take the aggro to save the group but ended up dying with both pots and stones in cooldown. :/ People seriously need to pay more attention to their game, if not, don't join the KQ.

I agree with that. One Mara we did, an archer just pulled Marlone without asking if people were ready, or even giving them time to rest after clearing the mobs from the ship. The bad part was that the tanker was about to go afk for a few minutes. People asked him to wait, and he said:

"Why? I'm ready. You don't need to rest."

Let me hear you say that when you are tanking and spam healing. Ironically, he pulled and that was it: he never attacked after pulling.

HOwever, since Epith is a melting pot of grizzled veterans and complete rookies. This means you will have people who know nothing, people who do know a lot, and people who got to lvl 23 and act like they are lvl 75 (people who think they know everything, but really don't).

I do believe there needs to be more coordination and organization in KQs. Talk to your fellow KQers and see what they are doing/thinking; I haven't gotten bitten yet.
