View Full Version : Suggestion Regaring Signatures

Maybe I'm just noticing it more lately, but it seems that a bunch of people have outrageously huge signatures, like an entire screen-shot unedited followed by a wall of text.
It makes it difficult to read through threads when replies of a sentence are followed by a signature that takes up my entire screen and then some.
I am aware of the option to totally turn off signatures, but would it be possible to enforce a limit on the size of sigs? Since there aren't custom avatars here, sigs are really the only way to tell people apart asides from their name.
A hight limit of 400 pixels would probably be a good cut off(about 2 of mine stacked on top of eachother). Its not small to the point where you can't make it your own, but its small enough to make forum surfing a bit easier.

I'm sorry for not noticing this sooner, but I agree 100%. Some of them are huge, and the animated ones slow down my comp.There should be a limit on the size, and kb size.

No offence Aveta, but moving sigs like yours tend to make computers lag.

You're right, and we are currently working on pruning people's signatures. ALL sigs need to fit within these dimensions 200x450 or we will unfortunately have to remove them. I'm sorry guys but this is necessary in order to ensure an easy-to-navigate forum. Thank you!

Ah, you can put images into your signature by first hosted them on a website such as http://photobucket.com/, http://www.imageshack.us/, http://www.censtudios.com/images/. Then after you host it take the direct link it gives you and paste it into your sig box. Then place the tags around the front and back of it. Like this
[IMG]somewebsitehere Then hit save and it should show up. :3 Also some sites give you an image code allowing you to skip adding the [IMG] tags and just paste it into the sig area.

i can only resie myne on paint so i never know what the size will be.also photo bucket makes it bigger than it is, and it takes forever for it to load. if i could plz keep my sig this size but if not ill try to size it down to the point were it wont look ugly but you can still see and read it.
