**** I'd like to start off by saying that I enjoy this game. It's fun, addicting, and I like the game-play.*Anyway, I am having one problem with it. I'll be playing fine for about 10 minutes, then I experience a horrible lag for about 2 minutes. My FPS go all the way down to about 1-3 FPS. This process repeats itsself. Play perfectly fine for 10 minutes, lag for 2 mins, play for 10, lag for 2. It gets kind of annoying after a while...

****

Ok, now about my laptop:

**** I am connected to my internet via an ethernet cord which is attached to my Belking54g router. My ISP is Comcast. I get a constant 100 Mbps, even when I lag. I tried turning down all the graphic options, but I still get the periodic lag. BTW, this DOES NOT happen on some other games, but DOES happen on some....

**** If you know how to fix this, or have any ideas, please help me out, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advanced,

~Bub

BTW, this happens even if i hook my laptop up at my friends, and he has Comcast also, but his home computer has no lag whatsoever.

Do you have something running in the background? that might slow you down at times

You're using a laptop. Expect lag. There is less cooling in a laptop then a desktop. Heat = lag.

Here is a few tips to speed you up.

Add another 512 MB of ram. You can't really do anything with under 1 GB.

Try hitting ctrl+shift+esc to open task manager and close down any processes you are not in need of.

Tone down the graphics. You don't need a pretty picture to have a good time, it just helps.

I honestly never knew about Ctrl+Shift+Esc..and I am rather good with computers.. I knew about Ctrl+Alt+Del..which OS did that Ctrl+Shift+Esc get introduced in?

Was it started just in XP?
