Ok Europe players I really need your help! My boyfriend lives in England and recieves quite a bit of lag which is very inconsistant. There were no problems 5 days ago and now it continues to lag. Sometimes it's worse than others.

I have tried soo many things to fix this including the following:
1. Turned off all antivirus.
2. Uninstalled Norton completely using the Norton Removal Tool since it wasn't in the list on Vista. -.-;
3. Turned off all firewalls.
4. Updated router firmware.

Here is a tracert:

If you take a look at 9. this is where it is lagging. How can I tell? At this point it jumps and continues to increase the rest of the way. If it were to jump down after this point it wouldn't be the lagging point because it was ignored due to priorities.

On 9. this is where the connection jumps across 2 continents and over the altantic ocean. The issue is with Sprint and their poor routing. There is nothing much to do about that.

To Europe players: What isp do you use? Do you have lag issues with this isp?

Thank you for any support.

errrrr....

it could just be a temporary local problem- hmmm...
There are a few places on the internet where you can check your connection speed, so you can then see if it is between your computer and the rest of the web that is the problem, or if it's the outspark server to the rest of the web that is causing the problem.

See?

Try googling "Internet speed connection" for one of these.

It's not Outspark you can see that in the tracert. It's lagging on Sprintlink not Outspark.

This is a routing issue by Sprintlink when the data transfer from Europe to North America. Did you read my entire post? I am asking out to other players in Europe what ISP they use to find another route across the atlantic.

Sprintlink also broke the internet speed record of data transfer but people still have problems with it. :(
