logging in

so i was picked for closed beta testing... i try to log in and it says i can't... whats wrong?

I'm 100% sure i got my username and password right, and i got an email saying i was chosen for closed beta... /sites/all/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif

Everyone try un installing it compleatly and then downloading a fresh copy of the client....let me know if that works...

hi guys, thanks for your patience, and thanks for the additional info sPlaTT.




it appears that this error is being caused because the launcher login screen is not able to post your login credentials to our login servers.


it may be possible that you have firewall software running on your computer which may be blocking the login request. What version of windows are each of you running? If you have firewall software installed, please disable it and try loggin in again to see if that fixes it. whatever the outcome, please post the results in this thread so we can know if this is the cause of the issue.

o sorry mines a (401-0: Unauthorized) and my username and password are correct, just had my friend create his character just fine, but not me :(

This 401-0: Unauthorized error is separate than the original error.* We are working to fix this right now.* Please try logging in again in about 5-10 minutes please.

Ok, looks like there are two distinct issues popping up here:






1) (401-0: Unauthorized) status returned from launcher login


This error, lucky for you, is a problem on our end. It looks like our auto flagging missed a few people who registered during a certain window of time while we were making some CBT invite changes. Users who recieved the invite email, and are getting the 401 error should be able to log into the game within a few minutes.

This error is what the meat of this thread is about. It appears that the launcher is being blocked from sending your login credentials to our authentication servers. Please check to see if you have any firewall software blocking the Outspark Launcher from sending your login information.

i got it to work.... uh.... i re installed it completely... and now its fine...

@mikeydo: sounds like you may have a different issue. when did you last download the launcher/installer? you may have an out of date version of the installer. please go ahead and start a new thread with more details specific to the issue you are having. provide as much detail as possible please.

@sPlaTT: i'm very happy to hear you got in alright. Just out of curiosity, and to help anybody else who may be having the same issue, did you re-download a newer installer as well, or just uninstall/reinstall the version you had already downloaded?

when i do enter my user name and password nothing happens at all,i click on the play icon but it won't do anything.no error msgs what so ever.i have the invite and my comp is above recommened requirements,i have also re-downloaded the launcher and tried installing again hoping to be able to play but no dice......any ideas?
