When did the error occur? Right after you installed and tried to play, or exactly what happens and what are you doing when you get the error?
Also - What version of Windows are you running?
Lastly, make sure to disable any and all background applications while troubleshooting the problem.

1. The error occurs within the first five seconds of starting the installer. It sets up the installer, downloads a few files, then I get the error.
2. Windows Vista
3. Edit: No such luck.

It "sounds" like a corrupted downlood. We do have it running under Vista here just fine.
Check the properties for the Launcher and make sure it is not set to run in Compatibility Mode, for some reason. There are a few people having trouble logging in due to a problem on our end, but this occurs after installation (and should be corrected soon, maybe 30 minutes)...you might want to re-download it if it continues to misbehave.
