First, the speech. When I say stuff around monsters, sometimes the chat box above me changes to match what the monster is saying. Apparently, other people can't see this, since no one reacted either time.
The zombie thing was in Echo Cave. At level 17, I was apparently ambushed by one of those book things, and cast Heal at the last fraction of a second. Next thing I knew, I was walking around with buffs and curse, 0 HP, and a warp message. What's more, I couldn't see anyone else, monster or PC. Plus, nothing was appearing in the chat box, besides my "I'M A ZOMBIE!!!" that I'm guessing no one heard.
I try to avoid typos.
