My previous mmorpg has the rep system on their forums as well and what people did was they gave each other reps, leaving their own name on it and people rep each other back in order to increase the rep! I'm not sure if we're allowed to do this, but since no one started anything like it I might as well give it a shot!

We do have a means to add rep w/ comments - to your left, see that little icon that looks like a set of scales? Click on that to add to someone's rep.
The ironic thing is, it is broken for me; I can't add rep :mad::mad: I usually have to ask someone else to dd for me. Bothersome!
EDIT: Howza! I found a way around the bug! I have to right-click the icon and choose 'open link' but to works! Huzzah!

I think rep points should be given when earned. Like.. if someone makes a post that makes me laugh, or makes a useful post. It can really show off someones rep around the forums.

I understand the rep thing, and often leave positive rep for good thoughtful or helpful posts, but how do you see how many rep points you have in total? All I can see is what my "green box" status is - just went up from "is on a distinguished road" w00t!

Go check the rep guide in my signature. You can check your points by clicking on "options" in the top left side of your screen, to the right of the "new posts" button.

Yeah, but some just want their bar to grow.. so they look like they've got a good rep.
Fiestafan recently had to make it harder to rep people because members were having a friendly rep war, that was kind of going too far.

you shouldn't do this! Reps are suppose to be earned. I work hard to help people and I get a fair amount of reputation.

I say what I honestly think and usually don't care what people think of it. If you think enough of my post to add rep, great. If not...well it doesn't change my opinion. However, I do try to stay very objective in most of my posts; stating only the fact as I have seen them.
