Personally, I've never had a problem with staying connected while in shop... and my husband tended to stay connected in shop all night while he slept. I know a lot of people have difficulty keeping their connection after a while of not actively playing, but I wouldn't know if there's a common factor there (such as OS, ISP, or anything else that could cause finicky connection).

Aside from that, is it just your connection to Fiesta that falters after an hour of being AFK? or does that lapse affect other applications? Honestly, there are so many things that could have something to do with it (most of which probably don't) that it's not even funny. If it's your overall internet connection that has been closing out, then it's nothing you can do within Fiesta and you'll have to tweak something with your connection itself... whether it's an ISP setting, or something to do with networking (i.e., if you're on a wireless network and are connected wirelessly, it's possible that there's a timeout setting that closes off devices that haven't been actively used within a certain period of time). If you aren't sure whether it's only Fiesta or not, try leaving a messaging program running while you're AFK and set it to NOT auto-reconnect upon disconnection. That way, when you come back, you can see if Fiesta and the messenger are both offline... if not, then you'll know that it's only Fiesta.

If it's only Fiesta, try changing your chat filter: either change which view you use (I leave mine on Guild Chat all night, even on non-guild characters), or go to the little question mark at the top of chat screen and click the circle next to public chat, at the very least. Then public chat (including any spammers that pop up while you're not there to block them) will be filtered out. There have been problems where we get disconnected because of "buffer overload", and I believe it has something to do with the spam, because since I started blocking all spammers and filtering things during extended AFK, I haven't been disconnected due to the buffer. You might also want to filter out shout, if you're planning to keep it on the public chat window, since that gets spammy sometimes as well.

Sorry I can't offer more suggestions.

The same thing used to always happen to me. I found that if i changed the settings on my computer to keep it from "going to sleep" as well as disabling the screen saver fixed the issue. You might give it a try it worked for me.
