yes, I have grinded for a long time as well, and found more silver lumps than apples. That is to say, I have found 4 silver lumps and 0 apples. The reward for the quest is not worth the many days of grinding, only an HOUR of increased drop? pshhhh, no thank you.

i got fed up with trying to find the apples (4 hours on n00b mobs and got 3 apples) so i resorted to buying them from lower players. yes i made a lvl1 character and is now lvl10

Uh... i think i know why u get disconnected yesterday O.o
Do u remember Yoshi saying there were an apple? I wasn't close enough... but maybe the item is bugged too. And u weren't able to log in while the apple was lying there.
It's only a suggestion...

Mmmh... no.
There is a special quest and you need special apples for this. (Speak to Shutian in Elderine to accept it)
Those are called "Shutians apples" or something like that. You can only get them from monsters.

Apples comes mainly from the wood. (makes sense: apples comes from trees, not animals ...)

They're talking about special apples for a limited-time quest, dropped from monsters like the chocolates for the valentines quest were.

I had trouble collecting Herb Leaves for the Herb-Collection quest in Moonlight Tomb while questing although I was getting a Rosemary for every Herb so I moved to Forest of Mist since I had to go to Luminous Stone for Ice-Bolt Scrolls.:(
