Well I ask you why you made it CS only?
I really thinks this makes you people look more greedy, that they get an advantage by buying it, sure they deserve it its real cash but not on events.
What you people wanne do weedout and at the end only keep a limited groupof people who can actually do an event?
People that pay and live in your time zone, im sorry to say so but that would make you people racists.

Racism is about race, the word you're looking for is prejudice.
and really Outspark is entitled to do what they want. They wanted to lessen the amount of traffic on each server in this event and the only fair way they could think of (fair meaning not disallowing by level or play time) is by making it a small cash shop fee. Also, if you notice past events that are open tend to have more rule breakers and rude people. People who are paying for an item are more likely to follow the rules, and stay in the game longer. Why would they want to give such high end prizes to a user to won't stay around?
My main concern about this event are those of us who still don't have the clover even though we paid for it.

I mean, nothing against non-CS users, but this way, it reduces the amount of people trying to pile into the event area. Lots of people=LAG.

Look at it this way, without SparkCash, you could kiss this wonderful game good bye. The GMs and CSRs need to be paid, and SparkCash helps provide the money. How about you think about that for a while first before complaining?

no offense but a lot of Cs users are of thos espamming 10 year old kids who are spoiled.
To me it just looks like they want to weed out, I am in apolin,e and ive ha dmy share of being prejudiced for events.
in the time if steam i satyed up at a friday night(cause others I had school) just to hear at 1 AM , I dont fel like hosting event, 2* exp for the next hours, yay -_-
Used top be 2 events a week, now only one(except this week with the event for ST'patricks day)
always on thursdays so I couldnt do it either.
When I did manage to do event it was like those evrns where people got picked and ofcourse I wasnt one.
90% of them I couldnt do cause timezones.
I have tried many times and it was hard enough as it was now theyr making oit even harder for people like me to do events.
I really tried to get into them but I couldnt thatnks to them and now they ùmke it even harder for me(and others in same situation else I would sound egocentered)
I just say I hate it and I hope this isnt how they will do everything else and that they§ dont get corrupted by moneymaking like ive seen with other MMORPG companies.

lolz with all the people I see with CS items I think they get quite alot of money and if I see the amount of people playing in BnB on high lvl I would say the same cause the prices there are outragous.

Well, yes smitske, I do have to agree with that. The events are getting spaced out a lot, and the times are difficult for all of us.

There very well may be more CS-only events. Very probably, actually. However, I side with you on the fact there should be more free-for-all events, limiting the CS-only ones for "special occasions".
I'd hate to see it slide to 100% CS only as well... kind of takes away the F2P aspect of the game.

I haven't purchased my clover yet (although I plan to after this post :D) and I have already gotten a few of the apple drops. So I know you don't have to have the cover for the apples to drop, as for it making it a more frequent drop...I have no idea. ^_^
Anyways, the clover really isn't that expensive at all, so its not like if anyone ends up buying it will go penny less until next paycheck lol. I personally am excited about this event (one of the first I'll be doing even though I am almost lvl 40 I haven't been able to catch the other events yet cause of work lol :P). Anyways my point to posting was I know how some people don't want to spend the money on the game, but I really don't mind personally. I love this game and am very impressed with it (yes even with the downtime lol) seeing as how it is only in beta still. This is my first free MMO I have played (I used to play Final Fantasy 11) so I find it sorta nice not having to make another monthly payment to keep my game going. And that is why I really don't mind spending a bit here and there on CS items.
Oh and I work hard for the money I earn and spend. I am by no means a "spoiled little ten year old." :P

Oh and I wanted to add one more thing to my last post. I am also impressed with how well the staff handle most of these server situations and what not. Reading on the forums and seeing some shouts and what not in game I have seen a lot of people really degrade and trash the Outspark staff. And I am very impressed with how well they respond to it. I've only seen upmost professionalism and politeness no matter the harsh words. I know from my work experience that professionalism on that level is needed but not always easy to do. So thank you very much to everyone on the Outspark staff (whether you get paid or volunteer) for a wonderful game and wonderful service. :D

*sniffs* I smell serious "haterz" in this thread. o.O /
Lots of anti-CS flow too.
Some people just think about themselves when it comes to the big picture. I'm thankful Outspark isn't so narrow minded in that view (though some will argue that point, as has been so far in this thread).
People who have money have the right spend it as they want. Those who don't have the money are the equivalence of crying because some guy just bough a Hummer and the poor person can't afford anything sporty beyond a Pinto.
Such is life. I have friends who CS up the wazoo. I CS on occasion myself. *twirls a finger* Whooptyfriggingdo.
This response is for you, the freeloading tightwads who do nothing to contribute to the keeping the game and its servers up and active... (back at you on behalf of all the "10 year old cash shop users" out there).
How's that for stereotyping. :P
Guess that now makes me a "racist" supporter, according to some things said in this thread.

It is a shame that some events are limited to the CS crowd, moreso when one of the prizes is enough to make enhancers gasm.. Although a good thing about limiting participants is VERY heavily reduced lag and spamming. Honestly that treasure hunt last night caused enough lag to force me off..
There's no need to get angry at the CS people for it. It hurts my feelings that you'd place a poor archer in desperate need of crit bonuses and a change from green clothing in the same group of people who probably got their status from buying gold.

A bit harsh there, don't you think? o.0 {pulls out the extinguisher just in case}
Again, sparkcash members will have additional perks. That's the way life is. But to touch back on what Smitske cautioned against, balance is the key. There should be more free events than pay-for events, but the later should probably have more bonus goods and prizes.

Since I'm done with my previous post. I want to suggest this, in defense of the OP.. what kind of events would be cool for everyone to participate in and enjoy?
I'd love to see more events, especially for everyone - CS or regular users. I say we suggest a bunch and see what we can do to get them passed on to Outspark to see about implimenting. :3

Yeah... I'm a CS user but I used paybycash... so for you people who don't use paypal/creditcards... I'm going to suggest that if you want to participate, go mail $5 to a certain company and you get 3500 SC. Plus, I am pretty sure that 3500 is enough to buy 1 of those clover thingies.

Sorry but do all non-cash users deserve free events? No. Its a fact of life, we win some we lose some. I'm a VERY heavy cash user, I'm NOT 10 years old, did you hear me complaining when there were no event perks for me? No. Why complain when cash users get ONE event? After all we are contributing towards keeping the game free.
Oh and btw did you even hear me complaining that the events are NEVER in my time zone? Duh?!

If they wanted to reduce lag, they could have made the clover (or whatever item of choice) a super-rare mob drop. They didn't have to go weeding it out by who has access to, and the spare money to use, the cash shop. As I've said elsewhere, if they wanted to do a -normal- event like that, I wouldn't be upset. But holiday events should be about the community celebrating the holiday as a whole. Yeah there'll be lag but... it's a holiday, there's traffic and lag and whatever else from everyone celebrating together.

Did I say they did? The fact is you were the one who said not all CS users deserve it so they shouldn't have made it a cash only event. My point is that not all non cash users deserve it too so does that mean they shouldn't make any events in that case?

U dont actually think u can get everything they offer when u play a game comparable to WoW for free. *tossing water on the fire* I know both sides are heated, even I've gotten in on it.. however.. let's all debate nicely as possible. :3
A humorous relation to the Cash Shop made by my RL friend who plays Fiesta:
My friend spends a lot on the Cash Shop each month. Maybe even up there with Max and Demon's spending spree. :D
However, he's stated he spends less money now since playing Fiesta than he did on gas driving around to hang out with friends. And he followed up with that it could be worse: "I could be going out and spending it at some bar... and more gas."
So in a sense he's saving money playing Fiesta. Ha.

first of all im not your 'bro' so dont call me like that thank you very much.
second, this could be seen as a step to make it F2P, but if you dont buy you get screwed.
The qualety of the events on themselves is rather low(especially compared to CBn, there the prices were atleast good),.
I think they make quite a lot of money of the game so far, and that Cs users have an advantage by buying so without now getting events, this way they just get rid of people and will lower non-cs users there chances of winning even more.
Dont say non Cs users dont controbute a lot of usefull people on forums aere non Cs users.
Also, by non Cs-users talking about the game to their friends mightve gotten some Cs-users, now they screw those people for actually helping outspark get money to.

Totally agree here. Yes, non CS people will feel dissapointed but at the same time, look at all the recent events that have happened, all have been non cs events. As far as i've noticed, CS related events are rare, so I don't think its unfair to have this. And, yea, its a way of appreciation to those that support outspark.. plus..besides from those who cant cant buy CS [no card, other country], in terms of the price, anyone could get the clover..costs less than $5

To add to MagneusFighters comment, the thread debate is a lot like his analogy to flying on a airplane. Coach fliers are the non-CSer and the CSer's are First Class. Now, Coach fliers are upset because:
- flying in Coach you get a cold ham sandwich while the people flying First Class are getting champaign and a hot meal (steak, filet mignon, or whatever).
- flying in Coach and complaining that the First Class people have only two seats in the row while Coach has 3. It's not fair because they get more room to move than you.
._.
Yeah people can cry that it's not fair but those First Class people did pay for the extra service and are being treated better according to such.
While everyone is using the same service, there are those who are paying extra for the extra service that the company is offering/providing.
smitske

you could also consider it like this, the coach people used to get it to, but now its only for the first class people and coach doesnt get it anymore.

Well according to you then ONE CS event is the start of only CS events? I didn't realise you were a mind reader....neither did I realise you were privy to Outspark's future plans.
Perhaps cash users should start complaining instead that they only got ONE event after spending so much cash and non-cash users are getting MORE events when they didn't spend any?
For goodness sake, its ONE single event. Not exactly the end of the world and NO I do not believe its the start of cs only events in the long run. Rather its a rare cs only event.
Don't try to second guess people or in this case company plans....usually you end up mistaken.
Seriously......its a free game isn't it? Just be glad about that.
