<No Event Discussion section, make one!!!>

Besides that little rant, I'm here for a bigger one ^^

Anyways, why is it that we only have 1 event a day, and that it is at the most inconvenient times? When there was the 30% boost in xp for 3 hours, I was in school, even though I didn't get to play because the servers were down!

Now I'm going to miss Escort the Messenger, because it's too early for me to play! And I'm not the only one! Lots of other players come either too early or too late, and miss out on these fun events.

Suggestions to fix this problem:

Hold events every 3 hours instead of once every 24 hours.

Minimize prizes so people don't get the prizes they have now, because we'd have more events, therefore bigger chances to win.

If we get another 30% exp boost, have it start from when we long on.

Divide it into levels, as a level 15 can't go to Uruga without getting slaughtered, and lvl 40+'s will get all the kills escorting the messenger.

Make games more balanced, such as Valentine's Event where everyone had to kill for Chocolates, instead of something like Find the GM where everyone with a Outspark cash raccoon always won.

Edit: The timing is way off!!!

Whenever there's an event, most of us miss it! Have events every hour or so, that'll guarantee equal distribution of prizes!!!

Those are my thoughts, please post yours.

I'll actually + rep you for this cause I think its worth looking at!
Half the events I can't get to cause I'm either
A) Sleeping
B) At work

Only good thing is servers seem to have maintenance while im still at work :D

Totally. I only got to one event and that was when monsters were spawned in Elderine.. And it got too stupid laggy that I left.. :'( I also + rep, really like this idea.

And we should also try to make the events as fair as possible, so that instead of all the guys with Spark cash winning, we have a chance too. I hated it when all the raccoons flew by me trying to find a GM.

Wait, they have events every day!?

I have only seen an event once every month or so. And I play, alot. They must be timed really really horribly.

There are NOT events every day. Pls don't raise false rumours.

But I agree with the rest. Its difficult to time an event when you get people from around the world playing. But what they could make is something that differentiates the players by zone. Like have servers specific for each timezone/continent or make events when only ppl from the selected timezones could enter. Like making a event 6pm GMT+0 for europe 6pm GMT-8 for the americas and so on...

And the sc only events... I still think they are extremely segregating ... not everyone can buy sc and so, being this a FREE game, even if it has premium features, such things should not be allowed.

ALL(literally, I mean it) of the events are when it's somewere between 1am~3am time for me @_@
It seriously doesn't really bother me that much, but last time the servers were down it was like this: I left for school, servers were down; I was at school, servers were down; I came home, servers were still down; I went to bed, servers were still down. And then people come telling me, that it didn't affect me at all >__>Also referring to the one exp event held for thje few hours after that one downtime. Sure it's nice that they gave one, but there were many who already went to bed after waiting for them to come up. And then those who, for example, just woke up(and since they weren't actually at the game they were unaffected by the downtime) they get exp event.

Okay, I'm done, I don't mean to complain really .__.

Events aren't daily. I don't mind when I miss out on them, personally.

Having events every 3 hours would be rough, not to mention would probably fail horribly. I'm sure the Outspark Employees have more to handle than just events. There's players that they'll have to talk to and help, bugs they'll be trying to make a fix for, private messages that they have to give attention to, not to mention other everyday things that they probably have to take care of. It's more important to try and get a game running smoothly than to please every single person by making events highly available. Special events are just that - special. I've seen some called off because issues had come up that urgently needed attention...while half the people were extremely angry, the other half understood that there are some things that will be more important than events.

The one thing I agree with you on though, is to somehow make the exp bonuses available to the players. Those are the events most people hate missing. It's hard to please everyone when people are connecting to play from all around the world, but one thing I could see as reasonable would be able to make 3 hour exp boost cards that would appear in your cash shop inventory bag. The gripe most people have about missing exp is - it really is a good time to gain some good experience, and missing it not only hurts, but you can fall behind your friends if they were able to use it. The cards would enable people to use them when they wanted, I think that would be rather effective.

Can't please everyone though ^^

Y'know... I agree with this. kinda.

Im in Australia, and I regularly miss out on events because they are on either super late/very early morning, or I'm at work or school etc etc... I would love to be more involved with the events, but it just never happens!

But y'know, recently when they held that King Slime in Roumen event, they said it was for under 30's - and it was FANTASIC!! I went there just to check it out, not to play, and It was hilarious seeing all the carnage yes, but y'know what? Having a level limit on it was excellent because it allowed alot of people to get involved who normally wouldnt have a chance at any event.

I think that having a more events (maybe aimed at specific levels?) would really help. Perhaps not having the same one every 3 hours, but over the day maybe repeat it 3-4 times? something like that. Gives everyone a fair chance to give it a shot!!

The events seem to be something that I'll never live to see... I've been playing fiesta for a short while now but despite the event announcements, I've never seen any event occuring. The problem is, its often difficult to even know when exactly the events occur. I mean whenever I read the event announcements, It'll just say that a certain event is happening today and it will last 3 hrs... I mean... how am I supposed to know when exactly and where?!....

As for the fairness of events, well... we cant really complain about it because if you were the person who bought stuff with sparkcash, you'd expect more special bonuses and stuff since you paid them...... on the otherhand, its the location of events that matter. I mean most events are held in locations which cannot be accessed by those of lower levels. That is Unfair because at levels 10-20, you'll have a hard time leveling up and when exp events are there, it would really help.

Side Note:
For checking the time of the events just remember that all the hours are stated in GMT-8 or PST and use this website (http://www.gatecentral.com/progs/timezones.php)to convert 1 in the other.

Yeah, but I have -7 GMT and I can't get on at the time the events are going on.

Plus the events should be fair, rewards should be based on level, and everyone should have an equal chance of participation.

ye I hate it to, the exp events for example, they always gove it after the downtime cause its'fait' to those, well it aint.

If you want it to be the most fair then do it the next day at the time it was down.

Asmodejjj
03-13-2008, 02:05 PM
Or how about everyone just gets an exp boost card which would let them get their boost whenever they wanted?

smitske
03-13-2008, 02:06 PM
that would be awsome, but I doubt if thatll happen.

Gotta agree with smit =/ Get multiple characters and wait for downtime...

1 character gets 4 cards...

Asmodejjj
03-13-2008, 02:37 PM
1 character gets 4 cards...

Why 4 cards? Each one should last for 3 hours, and that would make up for the people who missed the 3 hours that monsters were worth 120% exp.

smitske
03-13-2008, 02:48 PM
he means you could give all 4 cards to 1 of your characters to make it easyer to lvl with that 1, they should give only 1 to each account cause you would only be able to use 1 char of an ac**** at the same time.

Asmodejjj
03-13-2008, 04:22 PM
Well yeah, that's what I meant. Everyone would get 1 card, and by everyone I mean every account, and then it would be fair.

Asmodejjj

Ok, bringing this back.

If we all look at Bijou's OX Field Event, we see it's at 12 PM. That's 11 PM for me!!! I like to get a good night of rest, so why is it this late??

Or if it's at noon, why?? I can't play then!

Have events every hour or so, that makes sure everyone gets a chance to participate!!!

If we had events every day I personally would never play. They create enough lag for me as it is when they're on.

However, I have to agree that the time of day is highly inconvenient for me. If they had some GM's that ran events during the USA night time then a lot of the other players would be able to get to them. However that would require them hiring a nightshift GM and I'm not so sure they'd be able to find one let alone a few.

I never said every day

Just when we do, they should be every hour.

Amathyst
03-26-2008, 05:46 PM
My bad. However, even then if they had them every hour the entire day would be a lag-fest. Perhaps every few hours, say one for every time zone would be nice.

Asmodejjj
03-26-2008, 06:01 PM
Every 3 hours would be good, 8 chances to win at least ><
