hi I'm new here and I decided to create an acolyte to be a disciple
now my question is what acolyte skills are useful while go to the path of disciple onwards?

Well when ur an aco, just go pure INT, then add the pow needed for the staff, so thats like 1 pow at level 32 and 1 pow at 43, but once you become a disc you lose ALL acolyte spells, you can relearn Minor heal but its a glitch with the book, your not suppsoed to be able to learn it ^^ but rumers have it that later on (like really high level) we can re-learn aco spells.

I am mostly a new player too only been playing for about 2 weeks, anyway from the experience with my Aco every skill is usefull exept maybe the one that cancel beneficial buff on an enemy because if i remember correctly it is supposed to work only in PvP, i think it is lvl 36. I dont know if you read Aco build but the only point you put in POW are to meet the requirement of the weapon you want to use and everything else goes in INT or you could do a INT 4 WIS 1 build for more mana, I am doing a full INT build personnaly and it work fine but i heard that the 4/1 is also a good choice if you prefer to have more mana.

you mean to say the skills will reset together with the stats at jobchange?
this game is cool unlike the ragnarok clone that I thought it to be...
but hey? you guys mean to say that weapons need specific amount of stats to be able to equip?
so characters here cant go pure stat?

For Aco, It the weapon that require POW to be used but dont worry too much about it, the lvl 4x wepon require 4 or 5 POW so it not much and it allow you to carry more mana potion. The Neo need POW for their shield and it something similar in number only 1 or 2 point higher for the lvl 4x shield.
I dont know for the other class, exept that Squire need 6 WIS to learn Blazing at lvl 36 (seem some skill have stat requirement too).

so you can't boost your stats points on just 2 stats on the 1st job like I originally planned?
does 2nd and 3rd jobs require a little stray stats too?

No idea, as you can see in my sig i am still a very long shot from 2 class, well Aco to Disciple isnt that far off but i still got about 10 lvl to gain.

If you change to Scout or Disciple you lose all your skill from Neo/Aco, you also lose all of the Xenian skill when you first pick a class at lvl 16 but you will not lose your skill for any other job change.

My guide gives more heads for the class if you need more direct info.
All skills the Acolyte can use before turning Disciple, save Antibuff, have their uses.

you really can learn minor heal again? thats the only skill i like as an aco really, that and buffing others..........that makes it clearer to me that i want to be a disciple

You can't use Aco-skills as a Disciple.

Rumer has it that at high level you can re-learn aco skills (i read it on the forum that they can on xenpic)

We have one here on the forums who learnt Aco-skills just out of boredom. He can't still use those skills even if they are registered in his repetoir. Plus you need a cane to wield most of the Aco-skills.

That's me lol... and I think Xanthe did it as well. You just can re-learn Minor Heal, but u wont be able to use it since (as Trash said) u need to wield the (aco's)cane to cast it, besides it woudnt be very strong cause we dont need INT for our others skills and Minor Heal relies on INT.
Adios!

The whole disciples relearning minor heal is funny...it's because the minor heal book lists Templar and Disciple amongst the classes that can learn it...interestingly I think it's only on the level 1 book...
