I know archers have some skill problems but..heres some tips for archers lv 15+. First with a monster u should poisin it and then use power shot or aimed shot and run back from the monster, then u should use another power attack and keep shooting it with arrows it works great especially if u have a buff or def scroll.

As you said, unload your posions first, then aimed and power shot in whichever order you like. If you get attacked by multiple enemies at once, don't hesitate to use multi shot at 20+, every damage helps. I suggest archers carry hp pots around. I just collect a stack or two of hp pots that drop from the current mobs I am fighting, and only use them when stone aren't enough. If you like to solo as an archer I suggest until 40 you stick to orange yellow and green named mobs as you will kill fast and rack in the exp. If you are duoing, I suggest the same thing unless your cleric likes fighting as well, then you can go after red named mobs. If you are in a full party, go where they want to go unless you know you can get better exp elsewhere. At 40 when I got venemous shot I started soloing Harkans in CP/SEG with no problem. So you know I went full str so...hope this all helps.

Bad Idea. I completely disagree.

What you want to do is use Powershot First followed by Aim shot. THEN you apply the poison.

reason:
Power shot requires 2 sec casting time. Poison is instant cast. Moster will have covered a lot of ground within 2 sec.
The difference in range is 3m. This is equivalent to 3 steps. within 2 sec you can cover almost 8m in distance.

Another point, you want to unload your "damage" skills first as you want them to be cool downed in time so you can Finish off the monster because Poison cannot kill.

After getting Venom shot at lvl 41
You will use

Aim
Power
Poison/Bleed

In that order. This is based on casting time + range. Be smart on how you use the skill and maximise the range so you take minimal damage.

I agree that Power shot should be used first before lv40, but after your get your Venom, which takes the same casting time as Power, this order works better for me.

I tend not to use poison for 2 reasons.

IF you deal a significant amount of damage to a monster than your DoT is rather useless.

Also, any monster that takes less than 10 sec to kill (which is most likely what most archer's killing rate is at) 2 Aim shot + 1 power shot will have killed 3/4 of the monster hp. DoT is ONLY effective if your base damage is low against the monster.

As well, Poison does not benefit from a license while aim/power does. This is why you would want them to cool down first. This Maximises damage.

I must almost completely disagree with you, for this reason: If the DoTs land first, then your enemy will be taking constant damage while moving toward you, and while you are charging your other skills. So I will stand by my current and only ever used combo.

Venom (after gotten at 40 obviously)
Poison/Bleed (doesn't really amtter which first, but most prefer to use the more powerful DoT first)
Aim shot/Powershot (again doesn't matter which order, I always use aimed first just in case they are out of powershot's range still for w/e reason so I don't have to move forward)

As of right now, my order is

Poisons
Aimed Shot
... kite if both poisons hit
Power Shot
Aimed Shot if enemy isn't dead.

Because I have maxed cooldown on aimed shot and is working on power shot, sometimes it's more beneficial for me to shoot out aimed and then my poisons, then kite. So sometimes I do this:

Power Shot
Aimed Shot if mob isn't dead yet.

The damage they recieve from running up to you + during your charge duration is 7 sec tops. And that's saying All your DoT Works. 7 sec and my aim shot has already cool downed.

You will notice you're based damage from a normal shot does 5x the damage you get from a DoT. In same time frame you shoot 2 DoT i can deal 600 damage. If i aim shot primarily i do 1200 + 400 damage. that's 1600. Your DoT does only 300 (for hitting) + x% chance of not working + 4sec x 40 damage. That's 1600 compare to 460.

If the monster was say a Trumpy with 5k Hp. I did 1/4 of it's life bar while you did 1/10. My Aim shot cools down faster than your DoT as well. so i can hit 4 times when you use the same Dot Twice.

For referencing your DoT loses effectiveness as soon as you hit past Orcs. Only dealing 47 damage per sec.

From what i'm getting at is that you like to take LONGER to kill a monster.
It can't be, that you want to kill faster. Because as everyone knows, The faster you kill a monster the less time your DoT has to take effect.
Shorter duration = less effect = waste of Sp.

Wow aren't we ****y? You are assuming I have the same empowerments as you do, but I don't. Now I admit my highest archer is only approaching 44, and I don't pretend to know what it is like as an archer in Uruga, but until I get there I will stick with what I know. Feel free to come to Epith sometime and look up Daos, and I will gladly show you what I can do.
