...forgive me if this has been done before.

But i recently had a question as to why people believe clerics are overpowered.

so i thought of the primary healing classes throughout rpg lore and history.

the breakdown

White Mage - No physical offense or defenses. Master of healing and defensive spells and able to tap into the highest level holy spells.

Monk - Masters of the close quaters combat, but lack defensive capabilities. They are able to use low level healing and debuff removal spells.

Paladin - Holy warriors entrusted with the knowledge of the martial and healing arts.

How are they overpowered? To me a cleric is fine as it is.

I think we're believed to be overpowered because we have the ability to heal ourselves and therefore solo higher lvl monsters on our own. And while I agree it comes in handy, it takes us a lot longer to kill those monsters because our strength is so low. So overall, yeah we can kill higher, but the exp isn't worth the time. I think they're fairly balanced, although I would love to see at least one good attack skill that deals decent damage. The trip/bleed skills look interesting but they really don't add that much damage over an normal attack....

i hope maybe after lvl 89 crs will add a choice like that with 2 or 3 choice for all class. Me i choose paladin (solo duo) and white mage ( full party ).

Clerics aren't overpowered. At 60+, all the skills kind of are useless. They might not be able to heal enough as well. Their good attribute is healing.

Yay Final Fantasy/WoW fan!!! Clerics ARE our Paladins, and classes need to fight to lvl, white mages would have it REAL hard, plus we already have the Clerics *Paladins*.

if we can be pales that would be cool for thay dont just fight but heal and the most you can do if your party is dead as the others is to run for your life and hope to come back later and get tham if you can put up a fight you would be more of a party maber than a back fighter i know i have to up my def to just heal some times wean im with big crades of things you need to take a hit but the others dont let that so pales would be the beast way to go

clerics are fine as it.. though the trip/bleed skill needs to be fixed as its less usefull than Bash.
i donno about in the upper 60's though. not up there yet.

We need stronger attacks for those of us who like 2 solo more. For Dakkon to say we already have "paladins" is a mochery of a paladin as we have no improvements pre-paladin and nothing beneficial afterwards except the title.

okiedokey heres where i get to work now :D
paladins at 60+ its downhill all the way, all the skills go for healing your party
if u get a chance in uruga look at your first skill :/
Sacrifice ummm ok hmmmmm when i die everyone gets +50% hp and sp
yay.... I lose 67k xp when i die so and yeah bash and what was that other
mess of idiot skills whoops Trip and bleed :(
also the Def has been bugged since the december patch a lv 60 with all
npc gear gets a whopping 600 def or so uhh yeah thats nice,
when i was lv 38 i had almost 450 defense >.>
umm heres a good one why do clerics have less HP than archers lmao
so yes we are overpowered but look at the defense and umm like we need the
magical ability to heal 2,5 times our hp yet the def is so low that if u lag with
4 green monsters u die...
yes id say almost all of the classes need overhauls even fighters are
having issues...

i say upgrade the heal more after lvl 60.. O yea bash too.

actually the only one i took from FF was white mage

the rest are old D&D classes :D
