First of all the random summoning ruins the game for alot of people. Especially vendors, and people that just used t2-t3 scrolls who just wasted it because a GM decided to summon a Mini Dragon and kill everyone. It also ruins the game for shoppers too, for example i saw a great deal ona +9 staff. I was gathering money from my chars and guess what? the vendor was dead, and so was my chances of buying it too. I hope the GMs would be more considerate of all the players next time they do an event like this, such as not only listening to the people spamming "Summon Mini Dragon!!" but be considerate to the people that dont wanta mini dragon summoned, and also the vendor who fell asleep and couldnt wake up to reopen their shop again.
If any GM do read this thanks for spending ur time reading it and plz be more considerate to everyone when u do host an event like that again.

I understand your concerns, but it happens like....once a month or so. If you don't enjoy the events, take off for an hour or so.

Understood - however, please realize that GMs don't just come into town and say "Hey - this is boring. Let's kill us some people!" - more times than not the GM in question is whispered, begged, shouted at, etc. to spawn monsters. I know Murdock loves the minidragon and if you have spent any time in Uruga, you've probably seen it tromping around.
They do try to warn people before they spawn and in some cases try to take those who wish a spawn to a more isolated location. But sometimes, yes, they spawn in town. Anoying? Sometimes? But reember, it is the players who are asking for it so your anger may better be directed towards them rather than the GMs.
Other instantces are, as mentioned, events. These are pretty well advertised and usually take place in the arena, not the town square... tho it is not impossible.
Just food for thought.

Hopefully the merchant issue should be addressed sometime in the near future. Suggestions are always welcome. I know some have suggested a zone/area for just merchants.
I can tell you the GMs don't often spawn stuff near the merchant areas set up in Elderine (which is where I'm assuming this happened). Many times they tend to do it far in the corners of the city.
The sad part is people train loads of mobs into the middle where the merchants are settled (I see it happen at least 2-3 times at such events).

the other problem is there are so many merchants in elderine that there are few places you can go without seeing them...I do like the idea of a few lanes or blocks for vendors, though.

I feel that this topic is better put in Feedback, however, I won't move it there just yet. I'll wait for approval by the original poster.

The GMs do have the ultimate decision and the decision and they make shouldn't be swayed by annoying spamming players...
Yes I do agree with you 100% though that the players are dragging the mobs into the middle of the city.. but hey can you blame the low lvls that see the stuff spawn and run away while they enter Eld from MT? I don't.
I do enjoy the spawns though sometimes ^.^ I have never been affected negatively by it though.
It would be cool if some sort of portal was shown in the city they are going to spawn in with a timer when you click it to know when mobs will come out or spawn in the city.
Just gives a heads up to the players and people can plan for the event ^^

It's fun.
People are so lucky to have vendors they can leave open all night long- feels almost like abusing the system to me X_X
Having one night gone for a vendor really doesn't have much impact.
I, for one, highly enjoy seeing monsters spawned in the towns. (I will always remember steam's "Ogre Alert") I wished it happened more.
My only wish is that monsters we haven't seen before get summoned- like that big, nasty level 95 monster =DD

Even though they sometime warn players ahead of time, the players that are afk or sleeping doesnt have a chance to speak for themself and im quite sure the afkers/sleepers would definitely not want to have a MiniDragon summoned while their sleeping. Also it is correct that the players are begging for it but the people with the power to summon are the GMS therefore GMs are the one responsible for it right? Another thing is that the only way a vendor can die is 1. from Warring noobs IN town 2. Npc mobs that ARE summoned from the GM. Which means that yes it is summoned at the town square so Yes it is possible......

having one night gone actually means alot. It means the computer is on all night for no reason, which means wasting electricity, which also leads to losing personal money, and finally working for nothing that is of course if you pay your own bills.

Imagine a low lvled person now comes to elderine for the first time of his/her life and the first thing they see is a drgn killing everyone in elderine and they get killed by it,rotfl.I think that person will be scarred for life or never come back to eld again.xD But i do understand how u feel.*sniff* i share ur pain >O<.

Hm actually it isn't Mini Dragon that wipes out all of the vendors because for some unfortunate reason it is only able to attack one single target. (I think if it's AOE attacks actually worked, the low levels would be less enthusiastic about it being spawned). It only kills vendors when there is no player able to tank it zzz.
Anyway I'm kinda confused why people actually enjoy these events, half of the people who go hated past events and will eventually end up hating the next one they just go cause it's an event and they are bored. A large percentage of the event participants are also like levels 20-40 which makes sense since they get excited about mobs they have never seen before but now that the average level of Bijou is rising (MD kq fills up crazy fast), I don't think the demands of these low level players is enough of an excuse to ruin an entire city.

to be honest i agree its stupid. Some people will get owned easily, and lose so much exp. I remember when that new gm spawned like 50 robos, and i was there helping take em down cause nubs were getting reowned on respawn spot, cause the lag was CRAZY. If u wanna spawn, spawn in a monster area, it really is kinda annoying for people. In WoW, people dragged Elite monsters into town and the same damage happened. I agree with u totally, its fun indeed, but its a downer for some, i feel for them unforunate

Players won't lose exp if killed in one of these things.
Only if they spawn in Uruga will they lose exp. Most of the time they spawn them in Elderine. So no exp loss.
Lately the Gm's have been putting monsters in the Arena, so that is a bit helpful.

To be honest, that shouldn't be a problem, as these events are announced way ahead of time, giving you plenty of warning. Also, there's no harm done exp-wise. ;)

Total waste of time to spawn anything the servers are already archaeic enough, even with an extremely fast pc I still lag like crazy during these. If i have 2 go re-stone in town it takes 4 ever, then the darn camera starts lagging when i try 2 move it. Huge headache with nothing to show for it except meaybe a couple thousand xp.

You could also get d/cd at any time, too. You go afk at your own risk. And isn't leaving your computer on all night to get fake money a waste of electricity anyway?

pretty much ur saying using money on SparkCash is a waste of money anyways? I thought were using money to enjoy the game? Maybe to share with everyone else? and maybe to help keep the game running? if u really wunna put it that way, helping running the game by buying spark cash and being an active player is a waste of money right?
and about the d/c part, what if you dont d/c and just wake up standing at spawn point? what if right? everything is a possibility therefore since there already are risks, than shouldnt we want to minimize the risk when people do go vendor mode?

All events are posted in the forums days prior to the event actually happening.
And yes, you should expect mini dragons to be spawned. :)
And if you aren't in a party, just do Shift+Z to hide all the other players to greatly reduce lag.

not all minidragon summoning are posted sometimes gms randomly go to town and do it because a bunch of inconsiderate players spamming Spawn MiniD plz knowing that they themself can not handle Mini D
