archer DEX vs STR

so which one is better...i know dex give evasion and aim....str is attack dmg. if one was to start over which would lvl up faste,r pure DEX or STR. and for the skills is it whorth empowering it at all?...would it be useful later on, or just save up ur skill points later..also i seen a skill for hawkarcher at lvl 20 call mulit-arrow shot(or somthing) if empower the kool down time to the max. could u use it as amob skill>?

use a mix of the two...no reason to go PURE anything as an archer..as for multishot even with cooldown empowered 5 times i doubt it could be used on everymob(if thats what you were trying to say)30 second cooldown standard will probably get lowere dto somewhere between 20-25 seconds at max empowerment





and ofcours its worth empowering the otehr skills. since they are the same ones you'll always have anyway with exception to a couple new ones later on in the game like 40+, the empower points carry over to each upgraded version of the skill

If I was remaking my archer I'd go neither route instead I'd do pure spr as it's the only relatively useful stat bonus in the long run. Going other routes give a slight edge, but really don't make much difference.

I'm going to make an archer when I'm done doawloading the game, does a str/dex ratio of 2 to 1 sounds good?

My archer has like +12 strenght and +5 dex at lvl 18. I bought a dex +5 ring so at lvl 20 I'll be able to wear it. I'll lose str +2 and end +3 from my other ring but I think it's worth it. I think dex should be about half or strenght and you can add a little to spr to increse critical rate. By adding one point to spr it increses cri rate by .20% If you go full strenght it says "dmg - 114 ~ 132" but you do about lets say.. 40 on yellow colored monsters. Maybe when you have more dex you have more hit and damage.

I just Turn Lv50 and my Build is +10Str +45Dex



My Eva is 371

and my atk of course with a Lv50 +9xbow is 710-780

i'd go SPR primary for crit and End for HP increase.

Er. Pure DEX archer would fail, terribly. Archers already have excellent DEX, why add even more? You'll just do terrible damage at higher levels, and have terrible HP/defense.


For*archers,*the*best*builds*are*either*pure*SPR*o r*pure

STR.*Or,*if*you*want*to*take*hits*better,*add*in*a *little*END.

STR*gives*damage,*slightly.*SPR*gives*criticals*an d*SP.

i don't know if it help someone... i add 1 point to str when it give me bonus. for example, if after lvlup i have 54 str, i add 1 point to str, so i can get 55 str and get my damage bonus.

IMHO, Pure STR is better than Pure DEX.


Archers naturally gets High DEX every level so you don't need to worry about your Hit rate.


If you go Pure DEX, yes, you won't miss a lot(as if you miss a lot from Pure STR), BUT, YOUR DAMAGE WILL SCUK BADLY.


Archers mainly sticks to the 'Kill Before it Kills you' tactic because of it's poor defense. Evasion rarely works at all even though you have high Dex.

I'd say Dex is slightly better than strength. It's better to have a high hitrate than to have high damage if you can't even hit the mob.


It's especially good against high level monsters.


If you solo, go STR; if you party, go DEX.

i beening playing for a few days and i test the archer...str and dex just suk...its no fun at all, just go spr, to get more sp and crit...END suks too just use pots...

my lvl20 archer go for pure dex and i have difficulty solo-ing since lvl20. Really wonders what does dex really helps in this game.

Same here with my lvl20 archer, I invested a lot in dex and the evasion doesn't seem to be working very well. In my opinion archers with pure dex*are just too bad solo compared to other classes, it takes ages to get anything done.

I use STR and DEX. In my opinion it is a AWSOME build! I do great damage and have good evasion (plus I get a very decent amount of criticals that do up to 380 damage with my lvl 20 Archer). I build by 3 STR and 3 DEX.

I would be very happy to get the chance to reset my stats to play around a little... This is the BETA and normally you should use this time to try different builds and ways of playing style. I cba to train my archer again on 20 to compare them and do the same in f.e. OpenBeta and a third time in after the release...
