Can anyone tell me if there is going to be any sort of skill guide made either here on the forums or in the game so you can have a look at how the skills work so you can pick the one you like most?

anyone in thier right mind would pick them all..not only a select few...i know i've played other games where the skills trees were pretty large and some were obviously not worth getting, but this game doesnt appear to be that way, you're going to want all the ones avaliable to youre class

Actually I meant like a guide to the alchemy skills, so you might know things like where to get alchemy stone and where you can mine, things like that

I may write up a few FAQs myself, but sinec I don't have a complete handle on every production skill that particular one might be out of the question.

I play in a game that has virtually no documentation, on purpose (the devs only want players willing to experiment). Lots of people write guides to this, that and the other thing, it is very complex, I know of a half dozen processes for manufacturing various items and some of them are quite befuddling.
When people write guides for the newest stuff, they generally are inaccurate. So people point out the errors in the guides as they find them. And the guides are refined. It may take several weeks of collaboration between dozens of people to accumulate the data to acceptable standards of accuracy, but eventually it becomes something useful to everyone.
Moral of the story is, if you want to write a guide that nobody else has, go for it. It won't be perfect the first time around, expect to have some bricks lobbed your way, but also expect there to be some good feedback to incorporate into your new guide. Don't be shy or thinskinned, and you can serve to distill the collective wisdom of the forum warriors into something useful.
